Wildstar also tried to do this, you had to manually press every single auto attack but it ended up just ruining the MMO feel and made it like an action RPG, and it also hurt my finger like I ended up binding autoattack to my mouse button but it was still so repetitive that my finger would get sore and I actually disliked that one single mechanic so much I stopped playing Wildstar at like level 15. Playing old ret is really showing me what they did to the class. All their changes and reworks were based around the original retribution auto attack mechanic. So it’s somewhat safe to say old ret is pretty easy to play, same with rogue. And that’s not necessarily a good thing, but it was way more fun in my opinion. You’ll definitely excel way more with newer rotations compared to other people on warcraftlogs, but overall I mean you’d still be top dps if you were skilled, it just wouldn’t be by as much. Like I think shit players in classic would probably be getting close to my damage, but on retail that would literally never happen and I literally didn’t get out dpsd a single time.

i think i see what the problem is. Executives at Blizzard rushed the team to have the product ready to announce at Blizzcon. They must have forced them to use retail assets to do so vanilla artstyle direction be damned. Its a shame i think if they took the time to do it properly it would benefit them much more in the longrun. Once again Blizzard opts for short term benefits rather than longevity. I dont think the playbase needed much to be satysfied. Just give them minimal changes with a few lore accurate races some dungeon additions and we would have been happy. Oh well who cares

There’s not actually much grinding involved at eastvale logging camp. Youd probably expected you’d be killing bears and prowlers, but discovered you only attacked like 2. And murlocs? Again, you only killed 2 or 3 murlocs at most, and in this time you’ve collected all your lumber and discovered rolfs fate. Another thing to consider is that warrior and paladin have class quests with good xp rewards at eastvale logging camp. The quests for eastvale, they’re all lvl 10. Which means you can do them up to lvl 15 and get full xp. So that’s what my restedxp guide I wrote does, we do them all at lvl 15, and also do the lvl 15 quests in redridge too. Available soon in the neutral AH, my restedxp guide will give you xp rates you never thought even possible. We don’t even run to eastvale we actually unstuck glitch while flying to spawn at the spirit healer and its hardcore safe too.

You are still solving constant puzzles, and will also be dpsing too at the same time so it’s like really twice as more effort as usual. Want to roll Horde on the PvP ruleset and get some nice world pvp groups but the roach king is honestly making me waver and consider Alliance. I don't particularly care for streamers or their drama but seeing all the butthurt around him on both factions makes me want to be part of the villainry. It calls to my dickish undead rogue inside me that wants to be an asshat, even if I have to be an Alliance to do it. Do I fall for the temptation anons? Do I join the streamer guild against my better judgement for the greater good(evil)?
