Finished Higurashi chapter 1. Really enjoyed it, the writing and mystery were all engaging and I was genuinely on edge at times when it got more frightening at times. I enjoyed the characters and their relationships. I was very surprised by how fast things went. I really thought there would be a lot more slow burn club activities but things kept escalating. I feel like I know through osmosis how this ends up not being a problem (though I dont know anything about how its done or the exact details) and Im looking forward to continuing with the next chapters. I cant believe he killed them at the end I wasnt really expecting that. Also that ending bit where all the characters were doing like an after party as if they were actors playing a role and talking about the plot was cool. Wish more vns did something like that.
