I think the knight at the very least has black shards holding the lost dreams of Dess or such as part of its composition. I think it may the closest thing based on existing lore I could think of. The knight being an amalgamation composed of the black shards representing the collective lost dreams of lightners. The main flaw is that YeahWhy the fuck would Kris be working with it?A false hope that Dess is still recoverable and not just echoes of someone long gone? Some kind of Blackmail? A promise? I just find it fascinating direction wise. And Kris knighters were correct, they just weren't the roaring knight. Ch 6 hopefully clarifies who the knight answers to and what this whole gambit by the Holidays with the angel is about.
