I still think Mutsuki gets killed by MC or commits assisted suicide in the end, right after her discharge. The way that CG and scene stands out, mentions of MC supporting her body, how she slowly rises and how he feels like he's gripping something to the point of pain, the oddly real part about her lips stiffening and how the CG is the only one that looks eerily real and not against just a white background.
