Story is divided into 3 parts
1st part is about 4 stories each focusing on different kingdom. You can recruit characters from that kingdom in later parts only after completing their story. It has required open world segments and dungeons to explore.
2nd part is about collecting all the emblems ring, no open world and dungeons, only maps
3rd part is going around the open world destroying dark crystals protecting Sombron location while defending locations from the invasion of Sombron forces. This part like the 1st is open world with dungeons

The monastery fluff that 3H had eventually killed the replayability for me. Happy for those that enjoy it but this trend of adding out-of-combat content over time has kinda made me tire of newer FE games and gone back to the early years.

The only way to rank units in this game would be to first create 4 different tier lists and then recombine them into one that consolidates them into one.
For example, you'd rate Seteth for Cai and Seteth for Leda in separate lists, then you'd label them as separate for the larger one.

The Fire Emblem series used to be a mostly non-anime fantasy war story drawn in an anime style. With Fates, the phone game, and Three Houses, the game started being extremely weebified. One-note anime trope characters, all the breeding mechanics to make future kids, literally a dating sim where you can marry your former student, etc. Wildly over-designed characters. Probably don't even need to mention how the phone game is weebified.

The gameplay is still top notch for me, but I just couldn't deal with the turbo anime the series turned into. I always check to see if the series is back to classic FE, though, since the gameplay is so good.
