Looking back. As much as I like the look of tv world. I can’t say the living room was what I wanted to see out of a dark world. Cyber world and card kingdom at least looked like the rooms they were based on. What we got was a generic tv studio that looks next to nothing like the living room. Meanwhile all the objects that make for a more interesting dark world are far away from where Kris made the fountain. Wouldn’t it be cooler if tenna had more crew members than just lanino and elnina? Like the microwave runs a cooking show minigame and maybe see what more food darkners look like. I know that npcs mention a great wilderness that tenna paved over but that never made sense to me given the layout of the house. It wouldn’t hurt to have anything that tells you about the dreemurrs while still not spoiling any mysteries regarding The Incident. I’ll rag on all the old fantakes for being derivative of chapter 2 but atleast they tried implementing what was already there instead of reusing the Pippins.

People say Undertale dumps exposition on you last minute at the end of the game, but if you’re actually playing blind the end of the neutral route is only about halfway through the game because you’re going to replay it from the start to get the pacifist ending. Deltarune is probably supposed to work the same way. Your first playthrough, when all the Chapters are out, you just press through to the end, confused about a great many things. Your second playthrough you hunt for secrets to try to change fate and find all the ShadowCrystals and eggs, using the knowledge you gained from the normal ending.

Kris already has the best or only acts most of the time and does fine damage assuming the presence of the black shard, most fights do include buffs and debuffs just not universal ones, target does nothing in practice and arguably would be an incentive to make getting hit "intentionally" with aggro manipulation a thing like tanking which isn't the point of the battle system and kris doesn't have access to a constant attack action for story reasons. You could make baseline slightly harder outside optional encounters I agree but the game isn't supposed to be hard anyway.
