I feel like anyone passing on the frame because of price/value has an unspoken assumption that prices are going to return to normal, the quest 4 is going to happen, meta will retain the subsidization model, and quest 4 will be a generational leap over the frame even though no one can point to any display stack tech that's in a similar price category or even just above it. On stage Zuck said they aren't doing new quest headsets unless there is technological advancement, do not be surprised that he was telling the truth 1-2 years from now.Envisioning an actual improvement that you could rightfully call a quest 4 right now would be to take the meta VR glasses, switch to goggles and use bigger lenses to get BSB fov in exchange for lower PPD, then add controllers.
