>>582807638The good news about making sprite animations is that it gets easier the more you do it. Lot's of frames are mostly the same as the previous frame with one or two differences. Maybe you had in mind sprites that are far more exotic than a lot of simple in-game sprites, but the advantage of sprites is that you can imply motion or action just enough that the imagination fills in the blank. I don't know what sprites you want to make but I encourage you to give it a shot! It can be a fun process if you let it be. (And share your work of course!)

catti nekomancer is a cool idea but would only work if she was a miniboss. I'm not sure how a necromancers spells would work in a game like deltarune where battles usually last 2-4 turns. I guess during minibosses catti could summon temporary party members to attack the enemies (which would be useful if your party only consists of catti and kris) but because of the TP system you'll always have to spend the first turn defending or grazing to even be able to cast these necromancer spells since unlike other rpgs deltarune doesnt have an MP system

Curses and hexes already fit her character. Deltarune has the weird challenge of making somewhat traditional fantasy combat roles fit the idea of both fighting and ACTing. While Catti could have many fight specific acts that fit these themes, it's quite hard to picture non-fight-specific abilities that go onto the "Spells list." like Ralsei, Susie, and Noelle. If future fights are like Titan Spawns and require lots of TP to get the spare, then I think a very simple way to give her Cat summons is to copy the Mettaton Ex/Tenna Pose/Boast/Heel-turn but make it affect TP. Alternatives her summons could "block" on hit on the soul, like an armor effect. Situationally more useful than healing if you're already at full HP and can then add an "armor summon" to add more protection that can last between rounds. OR enemy debuffs that make bullet patterns slower or something. Something you'd only really use in super hard fights. There's room to experiment but I think it's infinitely more likely Catti would be like Berdly and be a mini-boss Lightner.

I'm normally not big on the trope of a character's missing biological father being important but it goes kinda tuff for Forgotten Man for some reason. I'm having trouble putting my finger on why but I've always liked it. I don't think it's happening though. Personally I think the unused room to the left of the closet in the school was either the Man's classroom or office. I think he was a teacher, or a principal, or a child psychologist. Think about the fact that Mr Society went up that slope to the left of castle town and at its base is where you grab shadow crystals from previous saves.... it might lead to that room eventually? And we just got a power that lets you platform up previously unreachable places.
