The real issue with re-adding the four cut Part 1 segments is that they are, in fact, only Part 1. You'll get a few chapters of new content and then you'll get Talimun/Anatolia/Orchel standing in a corner while Bertrand and Theodora move the plot forward, and then the shitshow that is the fight against Balor.

Well now that I finished my first route. I liked it overall. It has a rough middle because not even Dietrich himself considers himself the main character since it hardly ever feels like he cares about what's going on around him, but I did like the final twist to his character. That him calling himself a beast and throwing himself into battle was a form of "negative" self-assurance on his part. It's not that he didn't care about people around him, it's that he couldn't connect and understand other people, so he had convinced himself that he's a beast and has to die like one. It's a bit cheesey how the power of friendship saves the day, and I'm still a bit iffy on it feeling earned, but, oh well. I think I'm gonna do Cai next
