It will be hard to say how good he is until he's playable.The big theorycrafters are pushing short rotations that spend 8 seconds EQ swapping through teammates and waste half of his Gradient Beacon generation. Zajef's calcs had Mitya landing 9 total special CAs. These assumptions matter because the number of CA hits directly translates to his potential MVs.The top dps calcs pair him with Yae ideally, but she doesn't really have synergy with Mitya. He doesn't buff her, her own C1 is useful to him, but inferior compared to direct EM buffs.Mitya gets 1 beacon every 1.5 seconds, this is sustained as long as there's at least one superconduct every 6 seconds, basically 100% uptime in any real team. His burst is effectively only +2 beacons since it will typically lead to overcap - C1 fixes that by upping the beacon cap to 5. So an upper bound is 14 beacons over 18 seconds.Here's an example calc. Mitya is on an ER% weapon so that he can burst every rotation. He spends around 8 seconds on field and 7.5 seconds off field. He lands a total of 10 special CA hits. On the surface this sounds fine, but in that 7.5 seconds off field he's overcapping beacons. It's actually closer to 9 seconds because Mitya's first action is hold E. Then he comes on field and does one nuke. Then uses burst, and does another nuke.But if you stop to think about his optimal resource generation, his passive already gives him 10 beacons in a 15 second timespan. That burst is doing nothing. By swapping on and off Mitya in between Valery/Yae, they could do a similar rotation. They're reallocating substats and selecting weapons for ER% to solve a problem of their own making.Similarly, since many of these calcs are assuming rotations where Mitya overcaps beacons, C1 is generally being overvalued because it increases the cap by one and allows Mitya to stay off field longer while utilizing more of the beacons he generates.
