I played to 60 all through vanilla anniversary, then through tbc anniversary, on 3 characters, without making a single friend. Not because of me but just because noone was interested in making friends there. I'd get invited to quest and we'd do a quest or sometimes a few quests in silence and then they'd leave without saying goodbye. Any attempt at conversation was met with silence.Now that I think about it the best interaction I had was with two people on the opposing faction trying to kill the golem in the slag pit, they couldn't do it so I joined in and helped them, then we exchanged some emotes. Stripping this synergy away from fellow shadow casters (e.g. destruction warlocks) completely destroys class interdependency.In a 20-man raid, competitive groups will likely bench Shadow Priests in favor of stacking pure DPS classes like Mages or Warlocks as we bring nothing to the table.
