Well I did figure out something visually obvious about this steam link thing, talking about frame, I'll boot up my quest later to compare. I think I'm right about shit chroma resolution.Red looks like ass. ASS. Like 25% of the resolution. Anything red has horrible aliasing and you have to supersample to shit to even combat the problem. Any time you see something solid red look at the edge. I knew something was weird when I played forefront and the category select on the main menu has the portraits turn red and they became complete pixel ass. Go try it yourself.

A lot of people give the frame shit for using an ERM unbalanced motor for haptics which is considered obsolete. The steam controller, modern controllers, phones, quest etc use linear actuators or voice coils. The frame can't do defined vibration, fast crisp effects, vibrate like a sound wave etc. Ideally frame would have both but $800 premiumish headset from small company please understand.I liked the frames haptics because they are actually strong and not buzzy. But I heard a comment about the markerboard in half life alyx and I just tried it. That's another what the fuck technology experience for me. It feels real. I feel the marker board pushing back. It's not just the marker, the eraser, my hand. Valve chose these because the haptics can simulate rubbing. No one talks about this and it's impressive enough that I wish it came up in the november reveal, even if its a small thing that barely matters.
