Paladin kinda feels like shit to play in pvp. You're slow asf, have no slows or snares, no ranged attacks, and can't spell interrupt. Plus all your shit is instantly dispelled off you which you're required to have to even do your damage. How does anyone play this shit?
Still pretty conflicted on whether to roll horde or alliance (PvP), I've always been a horde player but early in the beta I was set on alliance since I thought that all the fags and redditors were going to roll horde to avoid olympus. However, i have the following gripes with ally1. Olympus is annoying. the racism is kinda funny but even as right wing as I am I don't enjoy it just being /pol/ in every single chat or "inv asmon layer"2. I truly do believe ally are the weaker pvpers. Everytime I've pvped whether on private servers, classic, etc, Ally seem to always just have the weaker players in bgs, generally. I feel they are super pussy in WPVP as well.3. I don't really enjoy the ally zones that much compared to horde. Also their dungeons are worse.So I think I'm back to rolling horde, though my mind could change again as it has 3 times already. It's not just for PvP reasons though, ally are going to have so few shamans going around for raid groups, it will be very rough for them. I plan on playing mage/rogue which are also less common on horde (at least mage is) which is nice for gear funnel.

I think it's absolutely fine that classes all have minute aspects that make leveling easier or harder than other classes in WoW. That's just another big part of class identity. Warriors can punch above their weight if played smart, Warlocks and Mages being able to control the battlefield, Paladins having raw survivability, Rogues being able to sneak around mobs. These are good features of the game.

Vertical Progression: You hit 60, do dungeons to gear up, and Attune to MC -> You do MC (and Onyxia!), progressing the end game and gaining the current end game's gear as Value Reward for doing so -> [Blackwing's Lair] releases, becoming the new end game -> You Attune to BWL -> You do BWL, progressing the end game and gaining the current end game's gear as Value Reward for doing so -> [Repeat this until final content release/Naxx/Scarlet Enclave]. This is visually clear as a tower or tree you start at the bottom and climb up. A few side branches exist as ZG and AQ20. Everybody has to start at the bottom for the most part and climb (raid) to get to where people are on higher levels.Horizontal Progression: You hit 60, do dungeons to gear up, then look at what is available at 60 -> At launch, this is MC + Onyxia + Barrow Dens + Mount Hyjal -> You do these raids, progressing the current end game, gaining gear that [MASSIVE ASSUMPTION HERE DUE TO LACK OF CONCRETE INFO] probably gives boosts (set bonuses, plain effects?) while inside these raids, or boosted dmg vs specific types, or etc. -> When new content comes out (revamped BWL for example), the stat ranges on BWL gear are similar to MC gear, but with different bonuses/effects, making it easier for raiding guilds to clear (same as it was), but giving a similar entry point for newer raiders whether they choose to do the MC grouping raids first, or the BWL grouping raids first. This cycle repeats with each content cycle, visually creating a ring around the raider in the center. The greatest power-gains are not in pure numbers, but in zone/vs. type specific effects and set-bonuses, letting raiders who've raided already keep a portion of their power between raid groups. Ideally, they would also make use of raiders having previous raid group gear, and present viable options to enhance it, such as fire MC gear being enhanced to provide intro gear w/ big Frost Resist when going into Naxx.

Someone at the company I can't name caught wind of this and thought it would be horrible PR if Forever first 60 broke era speed records by over 24 hours by allowing these autists to group up and dungeon their way up. It was unintuitive and it doesn't feel immersive. I get why they did it, copying D&D, but D&D is an entirely different system than WoW and it doesn't work well in WoW.That being said classes that relied on downranking like healers to conserve mana and mages in pvp should get something to compensate.

I played a bear druid on a REALLY imbalanced pvp server in cata and that was kinda fun. But overall Im of the opinion that warmode was a good change for the game. Wpvp when you want and not when you don't.the only way for wpvp to be fun in the brave nu-gamer toxic asshole world is to be able to just opt out when the giga spergs show up with all their world buffs, cheese potions and immunity items.
