The arbiter on burst fire mode with a compensator is an actually decent weapon on bots to snipe devastator heads and plink troopers. Full auto should be reserved for close range only and honestly you should be using the underbarrel shotgun for that. People need to learn the strengths and weakness of a gun and understand the gadgets it has before they sweep it aside and call it shit.

If they were trying to make a gun that really incentivizes swapping modes they succeeded, I guess, but I think most people would've preferred that they go full-on pulse rifle with it. I had a dream they added "specializations" in the form of stratagems that enhanced certain weapon groups in certain ways. You'd pick it for one of your stratagem slots and it took the form of an equipment crate/rack deployed form a hellpod you had to call in and interact with to get the bonus from. The one I remember the most was "Bolter Specialization" that said it gave your secondary slot "+13 spare magazines and +1 AP" and came with a bonus saber that when equipped took your left hand and changed your secondary functionality that a left click would swing the sword you were using a melee weapon, while to fire your secondary you had to hold right click to aim first. Of course it was a bit buggy in that sometimes it would put both the saber and the secondary in the left hand visually, and while it said PLUS 13 spare mags it just set the spare mag count TO 13.

I just played with the transmog mod installed and I've come to the conclusion that Arrowhead is actually fucking retarded for not just making this default for the game. >>583436080I run it. There's a bug that triggers the effect before you take fatal damage so if you're not always topped up there's a pretty good chance you'll get adreno-defibbed prematurely. It's utterly infuriating; like wearing a lighter armor without any of the benefits. Unfortunately I like that fuck ugly bulbous look with the white plates which I feel make it fit really well with plasma weapons visually so I wear the armor all the time even if I hate it.
