>>583362220Yes mostly. The end goal is to make a very very fast gold farm, making a hole in the nether roof is essential to do that because of how the spawning algo works. In reality tho you could make a much smaller hole, just the size of the spawning platforms, and use a world eater made for working under the nether roof. But big hole will look much much cooler in the end.

do ender pearls not work to load chunks on farms to keep them running indefinitely? i set one up on my iron farm suspended in a bubble elevator and came back an hour later and no golems spawned till i got closer to the farm. the bubble elevator with the pearl is directly beneath the killing chamber so the villager pods are a chunk either side of the chunk the pearl is loaded into. i read it was a 5x5 chunk area around the moving ender pearl

so i built this iron farm that's the same design as one i've built in the past beforehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykoqrOOIaRwand for some unknown reason the villagers refuse to panici let night go by to make sure each and everyone had their own bed and slept, then the next night i escorted zombies down into the boats and 1 golem spawns every 5 minutes or soi built this in a creative world to see if it would work first and it just keeps pumping out iron golems, but in my survival world it won't workthere's no golems in the surrounding area, no caves or tunnels within 40+ blocks from the farm itself. whenever that random 1 golem does spawn i notice 1 villager freaking out, but the other 11 are just standing still looking at each other and never movei'm playing on java if that helps, the villagers can see the zombies in the boats clearly they just don't do anything other than stand still till night time then go to bed and most nights the villagers on either side of the walls stay sleeping, never waking up when they get line of sight of the zombie lying downi can't make sense of it at all, works fine in creative test world but just nothing in my survival. almost tempted to fill the whole thing in and make a simple 1 villager cell farm
