Attention Disciples fans:I'm adminning a MA Disciples game with three teams. The planned mods are Divinitus, Trusty Research, Improved Casting AI, and possibly Omniscience, which is an observer mod (it'll be used if I can observe without having to play to balance teams).Please visit domg.men to claim your (MA) nation. Then go back and look at all of the items that boost various spellcasting traits that line up with your nation and make sure you can build those, either from National units or from your pretender, if you need them in the mid-late game. Items such as the Skull staff, the Vince Mace, and the Earth Boots (All found at Construction 5) give +1 to Death, Nature, and Earth, respectively. These are key items in those paths, but investigate those and also consider that your mages Fatigue themselves quickly, and find them some gear that gives Reinvigoration. From there you just need to focus what is practical for any given game you are in. As you play more and more you will pick it up naturally, take notes from others as much as you can.

Especially no if you have death explosion.The reason being you're paying a lot for something a spell can do, and you still have to cast the damn spell anyways since otherwise all your non-sacreds will still get battlefield wiped.That being said, it can be worth it if you have a specific use in mind, be it thugging, an SC, you know you're up against Abysia in a cave fight, or whatever else. If you can't point to the specific reason you want to have a resistance and can't get it elsewhere, then consider it. Also, consider that you need to actually bless the unit. Your prophet and pretender can't be in every battle, so make sure you have a reliable way to use it. Holy flasks take a slot, spells take a script slot. If you can't get the whole battlefield at once it's much less attractive.Of course, I'd still take poison resist over plus 2 health. But I'd also take reinvigoration or magic resistance over like 3 or 4 health.

a while ago I made an ai harness that lets your AI assistant play dom6 with you. I've only tested it in singleplayer, but it should work in mp, too. You can chat with your AI about dom6, you can get it to create a pretender, and you can play a game and talk about the game with it as it plays. i've been running lobbies for my friends and i'm having a lot of fun working on maps, and after designing the one for our last lobby (and playing homm3) it got me thinking, you could probably do a lot of interesting things with map design, indie choices, and minor events. for instance, a game where all of the thrones are located in a mountainous northern land across a gulf that is populated by barbarian indies (with forts on mountain passes) and undead. is this sort of thing worth pursuing?

But they're still big guys who hit really hard with magic weapons of their own that cause fatigue. Good for anti-thugging or making neighbors think twice about rushing you with an expander.
