I find the separation of Feral into distinct Cat and Bear builds to be quite sad, I enjoy the ability to be a reasonable melee DPS and an off-tank simultaneously. Yes another post about dungeons but this is beta and this is feedback.I just joined a group half way through SFK, lovely experience overall, nice group. One Pally was new and learning so he was trying out tanking and wasn't great so we wiped a couple times, I'm assuming that's why they needed me to join half way, someone probably got fed up and left.I'm playing mage for context, anyway get to the last 2 bosses, Feline Mantle drops, HUGE! I lost the roll. Robes of Arugal drop, HUGE! I lost the roll.That's fine, shit happens but now I did that for barely anything, I don't have any quests to hand in, I didn't get any loot and I barely got any XP because of the nerf.I think something needs tweaking.

Sure you broke up the monotony of questing, but you didn't get to progress your character despite significant time and concentration.Historically, completing large portions of the dungeon itself was still rewarding. Even when the loot didn't go your way, you came out with meaningful XP and could say "Well, at least I made progress!"With the current design, if you don't have all the quests stacked and you don't win the drops, the game basically tells you that the entire run was a waste of time, and then punishes you for subsequent re-runs.Dungeons don't need to be the fastest way to level. They just need to be rewarding enough that an hour spent helping a group, learning a role, chasing an item, or taking a break from questing still feels like an hour spent progressing.

The only dungeon that doesn't feel like ass to repeat under the new changes is Stockade, because you can literally clear it in around 30 minutes with a decent group.Anything else, rerunning it does not feel good to do.

The problem with dungeons is that they only work with some degree of trust. If you run them with strangers (prolly the majority of anons) its just a lottery with high chance of infighting/disappointment. WoW, more so than many other games, is designed for groups but most players are either lone wolves or casuals.

The game wasn't meant to be played on a megaserver, the reason that drop rates are so shit and there's so few quest mob spawns is because the game originally had a hard cap of 3000 players per server before the queue kicked in, you were not meant to be competing with 20 other players for spawns, scenarios where you would even see more than 3-4 other people competing for the same quest at a time were rare, this "shared frustration" that the dev team wants everyone to share is just classic replacing everyone's memories of vanilla

I like the dungeon exp changes, it means I can run dungeons multiple times to get all the items I want without out levelling the quests I was doing. I guess if you hate world questing it is a terrible change, but I enjoy both world questing and dungeons. I suppose the way it might influence average pug behaviour in terms of dungeon routing and whatever is a concern, but it really hasn't been an issue in my experience of the beta so far. I did a bunch of WC because I wanted the leather set and every group I ran with was clearing in a perfectly normal fashion. Perhaps WC is just uniquely low on viable skips and behaviour is worse in some other instances.
