There simply isn't enough time now to explore any of her because she has to carry the overarching plot of the Fatui, the Descenders, the Gnosis system and the fall of Celestia, leaving no time to delve into the tragic constraints of her origin which is SUPPOSED to be what builds and sells her as a character.Furina's story was a deeply intimate, focused and localized tragedy about a human acting as a god in the face of a prophecy.Anastasya's story is being overshadowed by the final confrontation with the Heavenly Principles without ever really committing to why that is. Symptoms of not only a badly written story, but a rushed story as well.

I was honestly interested in her personal tragedy of losing her family and it driving her plans to rebel against HP but 7.1 made her seem like she doesn't care. If that personal tragedy somehow gets removed on the way to finale she will lose the main motivation for her actions and therefore lose any semblance of character in general because why would she overthrow HP and sacrifice so many things just for... a nation she doesn't love apparently and needs Traveler to consult her how to love them?
