For me, a 3in1 character would be a character who can press the L1/R1 buttons (that normally are used to change agents in battle) to switch forms instead, similar to high, mid and low stance in Nioh. Each form (Dracaene/Lindverne/Eldreda) has different functions (DPS, stun, etc.) and you can basically either choose to play her one of two ways:1. Entirely solo so that she can switch between these three forms as a "solo party".2. As part of an actual team, but she is restricted to just one form that you have to pick before the fight begins.
Defense as a class just fundamentally does not fit this game and it's better left abandoned. Hoyo thought ZZZ would need sustains like their other games, but as people got competent at playing it became obvious that shields and heals are worth NOTHING in this game because dodging and parrying is too good. They even tried to make sustains relevant a few times, like with the Tower enemies that almost oneshot you but it couldn't save them.Of course, they can just ignore Defense's intended purpose, abandon their original vision and make them "Support 2 but uhhhhhhhhhhh you activate the buffs by using a defensive assist now" if they want it to be good but then what's the point of the class?
