There is random NPC in Norgren morgue. When wakestoned after revive scene the game softlocks into black screen. Probably one of fake arisen from base game i've killed somehow spawning here. Only way is alt f4, after next load it's a different NPC

Archer is the best at mopping up trash rapid firing its basic shots and not needing to move much to do it, and the special arrows are its big target tickets anyway. Tarring plus a flame source for extra damage early on, drenching plus cold for freeze lockdown, and the double blighted once you've stocked up, and of course the classic explosive arrows.

Why yes of course there should be a pool in the middle of the room where we'll be fighting and surely it should be juuuust deep enough that you fucking die if you fall into it.Also make sure to have a low damage, but high knockback, attack so the pawns can get slapped around and it's just a good ol' gamble if they end up in the pool.Some of these encounters are butt-frustrating.

Are people on hard mode finding that escort quests and other incidental occurances where NPCs can die are worse than the base game? Are NPCs dying more easily and fucking up quests? This is my biggest worry next to feeling weirdly overlevelled since there is more exp gain on hard. I just wanna have a good time and those are two of my ocd pet peeves.

Ok, straight up, is hard mode worth playing for a decent action game player with that typical muscle memory built into them? I have been hearing its brutal at times and thats ok but is it "quit the game" levels of tough or just mored in the realm of a typical souls type game tough where ill die a good amount but I won't litterally run into a place where I cant finish the game reasonably?Im really not that bothered by a game being difficult in line with other popular games we have all played with conbat in this realm but I still want to enjoy my time. >>583925751If you've never played Dragon's Dogma before might as well go normal mode first to get a feel for the game. You can always swap to hard once it feels like enemies are a pushover but you can't go back to normal without restarting (you can keep your character when doing this).
They really overtuned the EXP gains in the rite dungeons, weird that they said you should be 20+ to attempt. And then there's the Norgan EXP, also super nuts even on Normal Mode. I can only imagine on Hard Mode.

as a heads up, after one of the unmoored world's last rite dungeons, you get a single use key for a weapon of your choice. these weapons can absorb the magic of a dead evil eye when equipped by an arisen or main pawn (eye into arisen weapon, body into pawn weapon, once each)
