Man...has anyone else been as bummed about the task changes this year as I have? The current task progression system is totally soulless. Old tasks felt like they had so much character. But now they dumbed it down to the point that they're just not memorable anymore. I was watching some of my old clips yesterday from like 1-3 years ago and I could tell exactly what task I was doing in almost all of them. I just hate how they dumbed a lot of them down and made them easier. Even fucking tiger safari, I fucking LOVED trekking through all of customs as a timmy every wipe and getting into trouble. Now you only have to mark 1? Lame!Another thing is kappa, I'm so fucking bummed that they made kappa easier. I was like 1.5 months away from getting kappa the legit way for the first time. I had already completed all the hardest tasks (Tshooter8, psycho sniper, etc.) but hadn't saved all the collector items ahead of time. I just thought I had all the time in the world because there were no wipes...A lot of aspects of the game have gotten more fun, but I'm still bummed about the tasks. Seasonal pvp would have been way more fun if we got to do the kino early game tasks a lot instead of the rando stuff thats going on now.

Game revolves entirely around buying gear from traders far too much.

Tarkov has the horrible paradox of people wanting to be fighting superchads decked in ultra armor, bullets that can effectively immediately render you dead no matter what you're wearing, and consequences that are fairly dire when you die (lost stuff, loading into/out of raid becomes more common than playing, etc). Ratting is a natural, sensible process in any game where getting back into the action is unpleasant. This is not me suggesting they arena-fy the game, I like it how it is.
