It would explain the uncanny likeness between Anatolia and Lysithea as mediator templates are a thing, and now that we know mediator bodies are a thing(even if lost technology), unless Shambhala is basically a sweatshop in terms of resources and tech, the crest experiments don't really make sense as it doesn't really achieve anything new or novel since they already cracked Crest Stones and applied it to humans milennia ago, unless they were attempts to create new mediators all along, that is.
