I wish the whole game was like part 2.
I just want to say right off the bat that I love this game and it probably is my favorite Fire Emblem game gameplay wise and character wise (well, the main cast, anyways).However, no spoilers, after having done pretty much everything, I’m genuinely shocked how much of this game is completely unfinished or rushed. The game does a really good job of hiding it at first because you are already going in understanding you’re getting a fragmented story, so you have no way of parsing out what context you will or won’t get. By the time you finish every route in act 1 and finish act 2, it becomes impossible to ignore. I’m not even going to get into act 3.Most people will probably not be finished with this game until a few more months, and I do expect more people to also coming out the other side of this being pretty confused and coming to the same conclusion.I’m by no means saying this is a bad game, it isn’t, but I’d really like to know what in the world was happening in that studio because something fell apart somewhere.

Most mages are just Physic bots and nukes and never do anything that remarkable outside of that, when you think about it. Sha Lan is in my opinion the lowest effort "good" mage and you get her super late. It's normal for mages to just nuke armors and serve in a passive healing role in this game which she does well enough.
