I think the idea that the flowers are "humans" because the Dark World was created by Kris who might resent the flowers for replacing them as Asgore's "family" after the divorce makes a lot of sense and is an interesting angle on the chapter, so I wish there was more than vague parallels to support that reading in game and I didn't just basically make it up
