I am definitely getting burnout. I'm still in part 1 and have been playing less. I am not even taking a purist return-to-base-menus approach, I thought the monastery was tolerable if rough, but there's like an order of magnitude more time spent between battles. I could probably give it a pass if it were good, but while it technically has decision making the monastery didn't have, it's just so repetitive with weekly/daily identical chores that take forever.If this game had base menus it'd still be in the running against 3H for being the longest FE, but as it is it feels like it's going to run two or three times as long as it should have. Plus it managed to be obviously incomplete with conspicuous missing content at the same time. Still enjoying it, but if I enjoy something half as much for three times as long, is that better? So I just finished playing all of the part 1s of fortunes weave and started part 2, and in every part 1 route I only recruited enough characters to fully deploy on story missions. And I am realizing in part 2 that that was maybe not a good strategy.
