I’m really thinking between Rogue and Mage. On one hand, Rogue has a lot of fun class tools with stealth and such. Also I love fishing and unlocking lock boxes would be very niceOn the other hand, Mages blow things up into itty bitty pieces and portals and teleports are a HUGE boon, especially with the Legacy system. Also, herbalism/alchemy has unfortunately been made to heavily favor spellcasters and I’ve always liked that as my professions. I know I’d want to level as fire because it’s more fun that way and I’d go Human for both classes because I LOVE criticals!! HMMMM, so dreadfully hard to choose.

He compared it to PoE, but back then I did not play PoE so I couldn't comment. But I thought he was off mark, comparing two games where a comparison isn't fit. Since then I've played thousands of hours of PoE and I still think the same. However, if they want to do some kind of "horizontal" progression, I can't see them not overhauling how gear or stats works. Super mobile and can stealth so if you're leveling in a PVP realm it's very comfy. Most of the healing is sustained over time with HoTs. Easily the most fun. And there's no buff cap anymore so it's very solid. Has trouble reacting to huge spikes of damage though. You blanket the party with HoTs but you need to know who's going to get hurt or you'll waste mana overhealing.Priests are for players who are 100% sure they want to heal. Disc is proactive mitigation and single target bursts, and also outputs decent damage Their PW shield leave no debuff so they can now spam it and Penance is cool. They have very chunky healing but you have to anticipate who will take damage. Spamming PWS indiscriminately will make you go OOM quickly. They'll be the healers with the highest meters since they can snipe healing from others, if you care about that. Holy is very balanced with ST and AoE and you're incentivized to cast different spells rather than the same one. They work mainly through direct heals. The leveling experience outside of dungeons is somewhat poor though, and you're cloth.Shaman is the best group healer in the game with insane utility, but the totem system is a bit awkward. Also most of your iconic healing spells are unlocked at 40, so the leveling experience (as a healer) is very boring. Also everyone and their mom is a Shaman. But they have access to wolf form for travel, can reincarnate etc. You're durable and the class is straight-forward to play. Very fun if you go DPS until 40. No need to guess who'll be hurt since you're a reactive healer.Paladins are the best tank healers in the game and the most durable. Can tank and DPS if you don't like healing, have the biggest "ohshit button" (Lay on Hands). They have the best spot healing but struggle with AoE. Leveling experience is okay.
