The final boss fight was disappointing, all he does is teleport non stop with the most dodgeable attacks between. the lesser demons are harder than he was. The fight in the castle with the lesser demons and the liches after the credits was more fun and challenging.

The exp gain is crazy, started from 54 and ended my first cycle at 170, for reference, my own first playthrough of the base game for two NG cycles landed me at 135 or so. Wonder what the new ballpark for most hires will be. I kept this save file capped at 50 for more hires but disabled all the mods. Wish i kept my original save file somewhere but i wrote over it before the 3 save file update, kept screenshots of the stats.

I DID have to get a clanker to fix an issue where my game would crash every time I loaded a save with PT enabled, but that could just be a weird issue with me specifically. Other than that I had to disable both "Better Reflection and Mirror Reflection" under the "Specular/Reflection [PT]" section provided by the DD2 Graphics Enhancement mod in reshade to stop random "Fatal D3D" errors. After all that the game has been running smooth.
Next expansion we'll be able to bank levels cookie clicker style for perks

I started NG+ hard mode solo warrior with t5 gear and wicked knight + fast charge 3. I can highly recommend this as a solo class. With skilled play you can counter/parry everything, and the fast charge means you can always land your big shit. I have a weapon with health on hit and warrior weapons are slow enough it goes off every time. Survivalist means chip damage doesnt deplete your max life barely at all.Its peak. Its so fucking peak.

I tested some stuff out.By far the most broken thing in the game right now is simulucrum pawn damage stacking.You can get 3 or 4 skills that all add simulucrum pawn damage multiplier, and it causes pawns to do what feels like 4 or 5x as much damage to a boss with simulcrum on it.Combine that with battle fervor casters and a simple high levin takes two bars of health off most bosses. Shit like grand seism just one shots giants and snow ogres, and lesser demons. I dont know what the math is but its extreme multiplier stacking and is very gross. I tried it out with archer pawns also and explosive arrows were doing 2 bars.

Now that the dark has arisen, I've realized that MA in 2 is just a shit vocation.In 1 it had daggers. In 2, Archer gets kicks instead, MA gets basically nothing because the wider aim assist mode is fucking useless due to the lock speed penalty. And the unscoped primary attack is also basically useless. So the "vocation action" might as well be its only offensive core skill.At this point why is it even a pseudo-hybrid and not just a blue vocation? And what use is the bow if you barely have to aim and the "arrows" are so slow, it could be literally any abstract magic catalyst thing. Utterly undercooked.

I'm actually quite fond of the max power cap in vanilla DD2. Say what you will about quickly growing OP, sure, but you might alway knocked off a cliff by 'clops or set aflame by a random goblin if your back was turned. Playing slowly allows me to say goodbye to that gameworld over a whole week or two.

So yeah I guess you did break it a bit.It could also be that you need to damage the dragon enough for its unique qualities to become apparent. If you didnt destroy a body part and see it regenerate then maybe you didnt get far enough in the fight for it to count.I think you need to kill the head, and then get a cutscene.
