Niglets you can now emulate closed source software:

Get them while you still can, then make sure to go download the best local chatterbot model your computer can run:

Repost from last thread. Someone vibecoded modified versions of melonds and dolphin to support linking with each other

It's shadps4 that does the sys libs HLE ahead of time, with GOW3 specific patches. Everything else, including the entire GPU side of things, is just shadps4.
>is there a shadps4 fork for GoW3?
Yes and it's even linked in that readme.

I have some questions as it's Halloween time and I'd like to play my favorite game (Bloodborne) at 60 frames on my potato system if possible. While I was able to play Gravity Rush and even Gravity Rush 2 flawlessly with some tinkering, I cannot do shit in Bloodborne.

Is there a specialized release of Shad to get super performance out of Bloodborne while maintaining fidelity, like there is a specialized fork release for Gravity Rush? I'm on a potato.

also p.s. is there a spoofed PSN network for Bloodborne that allows chalice dungeons and invasions and whatnot? The Gravity Rush guy brought back GR2's online himself. Surely there's a network mode for Bloodborne, right?

Soul.
This is clearly made by someone that loves and understand the series.
>>
>>584310926
what is the issue exactly? you need to enable the patch for 60fps
>>
>>584293562
yeah that runs about the same, and the "port" post processing AA doesn't even work so it's pretty pointless other than being easier to setup
>>
>>584310926
Try using one of the patch options that reduces the resolution.

I've had Opus do more questionable RE tasks, like reverse engineering Carbon Engine and Eclipse Engine. Carbon doesn't function at all like Retroarch, while Eclipse Engine is starting to look a lot closer to Retroarch. (Though, not everything about Atari 50 has been fully reverse engineered yet.)

Muramasa is better on the wii.
The translation on the vita is terrible. It's one of those ones where they re-wrote it to sound as pompous and pretentious as possible. Using ridiculous flowery language. And every character just yaks on and on and on and on, where they didn't in the original script.

More words does not mean it's more betterer.
>>
>>584350890
Coz the originals look better.
Up-ressing old 240p games just makes them look stupid.

I was really disappointed seeing NGB stuttering even on a AM5 cpu too.
But it's ok for a few games, I liked Tenchu 3 on it, way better than on PS2/PCSX2. JSRF is totally fine now, DOA3 is fantastic, etc
For NGB it looks like a recomp is out. The xbox recomps seems solid as fuck

I've never played any Final Fantasy, Castlevania, or Zelda games - are their remakes considered good, faithful etc or are the originals the way to go where possible?
Final Fantasy especially I think doesn't even have an English original release for a couple of the first games? Is the PS1, DS, pixel remaster, some other version considered the best?
>>
>>584426201
ff games had pc versions with mods
nintendo games you have to emulate or recomp
>>
>>584426201
There's no simple answer honestly and it depends heavily on the game. As a rule of thumb, PS1 ports of SNES games have extra content but much worse loading times. If you're interested in some specific games I think it's easier to list them to give you suggestions
>>
>>584426201
I only know that the FF Pixel remaster is considered good, but they're a bit censored. You can mod some of it back for FF6 at least.
CastleVania dominus collection is good too but it's a collection of the DS games not SOTN which I think is still better emulated on PS1

>>584429543
I was just gonna start from the start of each series and work my way up. So I guess for the moment the first few games of each are the most relevant.

For the first 4 FF games imo choose between the pixel remasters or the PSP ones. There are also NDS/PC 3d remakes of FF3 and FF4 — they are not bad at all but I wouldn't recommend them for the first playthrough

FF5 either pixel remaster again as the easiest option or the GBA version as it also has nice extra additions or the modded SNES version but I'd leave that one for the second playthrough if you ever decide to do one

FF6 I personally prefer the original SNES the most. GBA is similar to FF5 version — more stuff but worse music even with patches. Pixel remaster is fine it's just my personal gripe

FF7 either the original PS1 with retranslation or the modded steam release (60 fps is nice). All PC ports are made on an inferior game build compared to the PS1 release

FF8 I have no idea if the PC remaster is fixed by mods but it looked like dogshit on release maybe someone else would tell you more, I always play the PS1 version

FF9 Moguri Mod gets rid of A LOT of the original game's slowdowns and adds lots of cool stuff. The PS1 version is fine but very slow

FF10 I personally prefer the PS2 version because they fucked up the visuals especially the faces in the HD remasters so for me it's the International PS2 version. If that doesn't bother you the PC version of HD remasters has the most QoL features and mods

FF12 The Zodiac Age version because of the QoL additions

FF13 either the original PS3/X360 versions on a real HW or the PC ports with FF13 Nova Fix

Haven't played 15 and 16

FFT check the original PS1 and the PSP translations and decide which one you like more. The PC remaster is based on the PSP translation. PSP version needs the slowdown removal patch
