I remember back in the days when I was just 15. My first VN ever was Fate Stay Night, and I had an absolute blast with it. I then decided to read Majikoi and Majikoi S, which greatly defined my tastes in women. But then I wanted to read more obscure titles. I say obscure because those were not translated yet, like Hapymaher. I couldn't speak or read Japanese, and I quite frankly didn't want to rely on Google translate every line. We did have some setups with Translation Aggregator, but let's just say it was not perfect.Now we have AI, and while many will say it's shit and slop and that many things won't be translated right, the fact of the matter is everybody can read untranslated VNs now. Why can't we be happy that those people won't go through the same shit? I don't like AI, but I won't say it's not useful.

Is there a serious consensus on the best Umineko translation? I try to be very analytical and I love media, so script quality matters immensely to me. Especially for such an allegedly thematically intricate story, I want to be able to be not only immersed and invested but constantly think about what the words could mean and get the best meaning and style possible out of the experience. So I'm asking advice especially from people who have a great grasp of Umineko's nuances even if small, and hopefully those who have a great grasp of what both TLs are like.
