Hardcore main is a brand new set of worlds where everyone starts out fresh - but as a main account. The catch? You only have ONE life, and when you die you can either transfer your character to the main game where you are a regular main (with all your gear and stats) - or restart on the hardcore worlds but with all of your stats (and presumably items) reset.

But really the appeal of these worlds is a fresh economy, a brand new journey where you cannot die. And I mean you technically could get a lot done on these worlds if you simply never die. The wilderness could theoretically be a lot emptier. Less crowded zones, etc.

I'll absolutely be playing this - mostly because I do not currently have a main in OSRS. So this is the perfect time for me to get into the game again, honestly. This is genuinely the most interesting thing Jagex has done IMO since DarkScape. I think we are back.

im legit a bit "Angy" as rs3 is not worth playing anymore due to the reignited announcement. most people are saying it isn't a big deal but when your game is already low population it's literally a huge deal. really wish they'd just backtrack it entirely or at least announce a merge where it connects to the original worlds at some point

Im trying really hard to understand the difference between making a new ironman mode and reignited. Nobody cries when people decide to play ironman, but somehow it's a big deal when these new ironman can trade wth each other?

It's kind of delusional to want a "new" player to start in yout decaying world where you're some sortr of entrenched elite, instead of letting them start anew with everyone else.
