>>584434663Nevermind figured it out just now
there's so many bad/forgettable mission in 7. even more so than 5 and 5 has 10 more missions than 7
>>584434791I actually cannot remember much about 7 other than some annoying gimmicks involving dust and drones. No idea why people think its good?
>No actual Jack Flight skin to unlockSasuga da yo Bamco
>>584434902There's this one mission when you do the thing
Dementia hours on /aceg/
IT'S GOING VIRAL
>>584434902>original squadron arc>prisoner arc>LRSSG arc>twin drones final boss and tunnel run
Very odd how this plane has the same ability twice.
>>584434502If I had a nickel for every game I played with a bee themed character people liked I would have two of them, or something.
>>584435318Why are all the abilities specified as lv.1 if lv.2 and lv.3 abilities don't exist?
>>584434791>>584434902Maybe thats why I generally find it...oddly relaxing? Meanwhile I swear my stress level keep rising as I work through the campaign
>>584435318Small indie studio, please understand
>>584435575Probably because they intend to add them eventually. They're in the files if nothing elseIf they do update this shit anyway, given how this week has played out so far
>>584435664Reminder that the Night Raven is in the files. Maybe one day we will get cool shit.
>>584435764I'm operating under the assumption we're going to be seeing all the craft from 7 that aren't in the base game as shit gets added first. At least, I imagine they'd be easy enough to port over given its the same engine. We'll see how many new / "new" planes we actually get though
>>584435318Checked and they do stack. 47/56/65 points worth of damage from a single gun hit with 0/1/2 abilities equipped. The funny thing is that F-22 doesn't get air damage as an ability so F-35 can actually do more damage to air. F-22's obviously still better because it gets missile upgrade and QAAM instead of HCAA but it's still funny.I need gold blueprints. I must find more gold blueprints.
>>584434902>annoying gimmicks involving dustgenuinely what the fuck were they thinking? "you know what'd be a great idea for the game you guys? flying through clouds makes your plane handle as horribly as possible!"
>>584435664I wonder if they'll be unlocked by grinding plane xp post lvl 20 or just bought in the shop like lvl 2 parts.
Should I play 6?
Aren't we supposed to be on week 4 for MP weeklies?
>>584436104yesgameplay is good and wasn't duplicated (multifront objectives & allied support that you earn by building a gauge)the aesthetic during gameplay is unique, almost melancholicthe only real downside is the narrative feels like it was outsourced and the plane roster is pretty small
>>584435908Current player cap is First Lieutenant at 25,000 exp, in 7 there were nine more grades, up to Commander In Chief. Then you had Infinity, where First Lieutenant was actually rank 3 technically, at sixty levels, with each rank having three sub-levels first, while Marshal was at one hundred and final. Compare this with Assault Horizon Legacy where First Lieutenant as considered Rank 12 at 40000 exp, while Commander In Chief was 250,000 exp. You won't see that amount of pure Japanese autism again, but expect at least a few more player ranks before the game dies. My guess is that you will be able to unlock more part levels eventually with the addition of more ranks as a gate keep.
why the FUCK is emergency sortie rng based instead of one every hour? They already capped that shit to 5 per days for gods sake
If we get an Arkbird raid, it should have a small chance of reenacting the original maneuverable bug from AC5 as a joke
>>584436951to artificially prolong your engagementduhthe game is as hostile as it could feasibly be in every capacity
>>584436985Should be a dialogue trigger that says its gone full Belkan mode.
>>584434791>>584434902>shooting harling near space elevator>fighing over the prison skies>desert storming with the banger track dual wielder>chasing mihaly through thundering clouds and rocks>chasing mihaly through city skyscrapers>night valley run>fight over shilage castle>identifying targets in the night city>tunnel run underneath and then through isev7 has lots of memorable moments for me. 8 probably will too.
>>584436985I want the Ladon twins, just for the multiplayer salt.
I suppose the final boss of the campaign being a submarine was directly inspired by the Alicorn fight, right? Pretty underwhelming in the end. Tewy should've been the end game boss. Maybe have her controlling the sub, two tiered boss fight. Go after the sub to protect the Endurance, then finish off Tewy.
>>584436827The blue background for level icons to me implies there will be purple and orange background icons too for something like prestige levels.
>>584437443It was pretty obviously more a narrative wrap-up than a challenging fight
>>584436827Infinity was also insanely grindy if anyone was wondering. And I mean insanely. As in over 10000 games to hit max rank grindy.
>>584434902Because there's nothing really memorable about it. The story is a mess that feels as if there were 3 directors with 3 different ideas and they all compromised into a mishmash. The character progression is messed beyond redemption - start with one squad, barely get to know them before you get carted off to fuck you field, now you have a bunch of new squadmates that all pretty much die off before you get to start feeling for them - then wham you're suddenly no longer a prisoner (this had no effect whatsoever anyway) and you go join yet another squad that once again you don't get enough time to know before the game ends, except Count who follows you from the inmate squad. The soundtrack is forgettable at best, none that you'd remember fondly. The final boss battle is also entirely whatever with 2 drones. Shilage is probably the high point but they felt the need to make him plot-armored for the sake of "he's a bad motherfucker" which detracts heavily.
>>584434791haven't played 7 in forever off the cuff I can remember>shooting Harling mission>444 airbase mission>"But in reality, you want us to smash that base, right?" "You're going to wish this mission never ended">"get in with that monster spare 15, we're going to lose more friendlies">the mission with the faulty IFF where Bandog gets Fullband sniped >the mission where you bomb all the oil fields and then have to find the convoys in the dust clouds>the fuckass escort mission with the superdrones where you have to escort the V-22 and even Bandog can't be arsed>Magic Spear I >Fleet Destruction>Stonehenge Offensive and Defensive (I remember this one in particular because I went A-10C against my better judgement and got blindsided by the Arsenal Bird showing up)>the post-Kessler missions with Shilage castle and Sol Squadron>the mission where you bomb refugees>the mission where you stop a mass driver launch>Elevator brawl with the Arsenal Bird>Hugging and Mugging and flying up the Elevator baseNot including the DLC because I can remember all of that. In retrospect the 444 bits are more memorable than the LRSSG part of the campaign, and certainly much more memorable than the pre-three sin lines bits of the campaign.
>>584437778I can agree with the rest of it but calling 7's soundtrack forgettable feels like a stretch
>>584437507>Prestige resets player rank to lvl 1 First Lieutenant with an Orange flared name for cred with the five other people still playing online at that point, it also resets all planes to level up again for access to lvl 3 parts (for that plane)For a split second, the flash of pure hate I felt was quite evocative
It took 7 years but AC7s honeymoon phase is finally over.
Any chance that they'll deshit the multiplayer?
>>584438380I had some level of hope but the maintenance for literally nothing and the dev stream exploding in 14 minutes with no attempt to re-start it kinda put a damper on that

>>584438473Maybe the shamefur dispray from the dev stream will actually force them to do something.
>>584438473I didn't know about any dev stream, was it a small stream?

Is it possible to kill S22/other campaign fights in the Cope way, i.e luring him near the water and tricking his AI to dive?
Anyone else feel like mission 30 was way too easy for an AC game? No tunnel run and a half assed cruiser fight. Funnily enough the cruiser had some unique mechanics limited to that mission so I wonder if potential DLC missions will use more of that along with adding a proper tunnel run.

So on the AC8 Build planner, it looks like normal missile upgrades increase your main A2A bar while Special Weapon A2A upgrades don't. So does upping that bar make enough of a difference to focus on it or is it better to build for SpW for less overall damage?
>>584443239Don't, turn away at an angle that doesn't run under their nose and joust them or dive in on them. Momentum is a lot and if someone burnt all their energy on high G turns while you are sending missiles from above at them there's a good chance they're dead, just make sure your turning away doesn't give them a free angle to start chasing you
>>584443786Something i know about is that +missile damage and +missile damage vs ground targets is just enough to one shot tanks instead of needing 2

I'm torn between wanting AC9 to be a full 3 remake (complete with the final twist), or having it be a sequel to 3 where it is both the 'real' war as well as the consequences of 3's simulations going awry.Imagine Nemo as the final boss, with the flight data of all previous player pilots and rival aces, spouting lines from throughout the series at you.

I finished it. I think the only thing I REALLY didn't like was the crimson color palette being ever-present in the last quarter or so of the game. Just from the visual perspective it gets old pretty fast but gameplay wise it also makes it harder to read whether you're locked on or not, since shit just blends in with the background sometimes. Had to navigate by tone just to get an idea whether I was in range or not. I like my visuals clear, to be honest. And I guess the dialogue, briefs and debriefs are somewhat dry. I think that's where dev inexperience and budget constraints are most noticeable.Other than that, gameplay-wise I liked it more than AC6. Storywise it's hard not to draw some parallels between this and Zero: overabundance of red (reminded me of that title screen), things getting "nuked" mid-mission, merc aesthetics, etc. I liked how much darker it is in tone, compared to anything AC but I also felt like that ending was a bit rushed. The final boss fight was mechanically fun but fuck me if it wasn't hard on the eyes due to all that visual clutter. The final boss theme was probably the peak of this OST but the rest of it is honestly forgettable.Ended up sticking with the Tomcat for the rest of the game for the WSO just to hear those extra-lines but I don't think it was worth it outside of her telling AWACS to kiss her ass. Also, she just passes out mid final fight? I do want a voiced WSO in an AC game now, however.
>>584440990The real tell will be whether or not the multiplayer makes them money long term. I think if they try and force all new planes to be purchased through the shitty fucking ace passes rather than just being able to buy the shit they wanna buy without extraneous bullshit it's gunna piss people off. Like, yea you get the plane straight up without needing to level the pass, but $10/plane is shit value if you're not interested in online. For reference, in 7 it's generally $5/plane and about $4/plane for the $12.49 three plane sets. If they end up going the Ace Pass route where a single new plane is $10 I'm gunna tell PA to fuck themselves and wait until someone figures out how to unlock any future DLC for free like you can with 7.
>>584447202I'm fairly sure the last mission was so orange they had to patch it to make it less orange later on.>Ended up sticking with the Tomcat for the rest of the game for the WSO just to hear those extra-lines but I don't think it was worth it outside of her telling AWACS to kiss her ass. Also, she just passes out mid final fight? I do want a voiced WSO in an AC game now, however.I did the same, and the extra difficulty for sticking with a rustbucket was nice. She also does indeed pass out halfway through because of the shit you're pulling. If you ever want to do a Mercenary playthrough there's plenty mods that turn any plane into a 2seater so you can have your WSO in anything
>>584447202Not having a voiced WSO in AC8 was a mistake. Could have easily been the helicopter guy's role.

I still keep an old version of PW installed on my laptop that I refuse to update just to keep all my mods intact. I'm not sure if you can get older mods working nowadays, but one of the biggest losses was some mad lad editing every plane to have two seats so that it makes sense that Prez is always there. Some of them look a little goofy but most of them are fine.

I just had a thought. What if Cope's ghost actually factors into the sublimation plotline, to at least partially avoid a "the Prestige coinflip duplicate" scenario?Basically there are three possible states for your AI duplicate:First, the original and the AI duplicate are both alive. Nothing happens here, the original's soul remains with the original and the AI duplicate is essentially a fake.Second, the original dies and the AI duplicate survives, and the original's soul wanders around for a bit before attaching itself to the AI duplicate. In this scenario, the AI duplicate is basically "real" due to the possession. And of course, the final scenario, where the original's ghost fucks off to the afterlife and the AI duplicate remains "fake".So the AI Dision might have been the 'real' Simon all along, through ghost antics.

>>584447202Fair review, though I disagree with your opinion on the OST. There's quite a few standout songs in the entire game, and the amount I would say is comparable to older AC games.DLC is the same, but it has my personal favorite final boss theme of the game's entirety.
>>584452840but how did Cope ended up with Jenkins on a raft?
>>584453374I've been doing alright with HCAAs, and you get enough even with taking LAGMs to tag the odd big ground kill you don't loose much. I'm going to experiment though and just full build for standard missiles to see how that goes.
>>584453354You can't tell me the story wouldn't be improved if cope simply hadnt diedYou have the protagonist with a face and an internal voice aka assault horizon and here he's just dead and all that does is make the story more weird for practically no real reason

All these theories when the simplest explanation is simply the truest:Rex is a newtype and the game is setting up a conflict of artificial newtypes (COFFIN/Superplane tech) vs true newtypes (Natural-born abilities).Isn't that just the plot of Gundam SEED
Sotoans really do remind me of the Welsh. For those who are unfortunate to know the Welsh will probably know what I am on about.

>>584446420The planes will be a separate buy after the season end. I think they mentioned you can buy older battle passes to get the emblems and skins. >>584454102That's just Gundam in general with cyber newtypes.
Can PA just make their own engine instead of using UE5? Genuinely dogshit engine, why are people still using this abhorrent piece of shit?
>>584454569I hope they dont stop at 3 extra fucking missions
>>584454816Because its an engine they are taught to use in school. Making custom engines takes time and money that isnt worth it to most. And you have to train new hires on it.
>>584454102It's this. It's been said to death but it's true: Ace Combat is a mecha anime but the mechs are planes. Easiest way to decide what will happen in the story is to imagine what would happen in mecha like Macross or Gundam.
>>584454816>Can PA just make their own engineNo. It's too expensive and time-consuming.
>>584454816Between this, aion2, and Gundam rogue I just think some companies/publishers don't have it in their budgetI think only Capcom commits consistently to a proprietary platform
>>584454816Same reason most gamedev studios use one of the big commercial engines. Training / development costs and Talent hiring. Writing your own engine not only requires time and money invested into programming and design, but also time and money invested into training other departments for working with said engine. The tradeoffs just are not worth it.
The Shadow22 fight was probably the most anticlimactic wet fart of a nemesis battle that I've ever seen in an Ace Combat game. Just bait the kulbit and kill them while they're exposed. Posterchild of why post stall maneuvers are airshow gimmicks. I don't even know what 22 was supposed to say during the fight because he died during his opening taunt. The battle several missions prior with Dealer's "terrible plan" of "Joker 1 stays behind and shoots down all the shadows" was 10x more enjoyable.
>>584454859What are the chances they completely drop DLC missions to focus on only adding Online missions and bosses?
>>584454816Bamco hired Fox Engine people few years back but nothing came of it. Besides, expect eons for another AC game if you want a custom engine made in this day and age.
>>584454816In house engines are dead due to rising costs and a lack of people skilled in both creating and explaining an in-house engine. A huge problem with many in-house engines is they are very unfriendly to work with, like for example Dice's Frostbite engine works well for FPS games, but when EA insisted it be used in Mass Effect Andromeda it turned out it had none of the tools needed for an RPG and it was hell as a result. What you want is an engine that any new hire can immediately understand, as well as one that is easy to work with. Unfortunately Epic Games has fuck you money and can maintain a stranglehold on the market.
>>584455028PA really needs to start emphasizing enemy Ace squadrons working as a team rather than one lone bad guy trying to 1v1 you.Player skill will always trump AI skill. I mean, the AI still doesn't react to guns.
>>584455031If that's a commitment to adding more than pro-ADD 5 minute resource dumps then whateverWe're in the perfect age for active iteration and improvement and the ACO team has a lot to fucking learn
>>584455346You'd have to balance the rest of the squad or some mechanics around it or make it so that the AI doesn't cheat. I kind of like how PW did this. No checkpoints, missiles always catch up to you if shot from behind and enemies can be agressive but you have infinite flares.
>>584455190>like for example Dice's Frostbite engine works well for FPS games, but when EA insisted it be used in Mass Effect Andromeda it turned out it had none of the tools needed for an RPG and it was hell as a result.Yeah whenever I see frostbite not attached to BFI think crash and vaseline
>>584455031You anon are mad mad I tell you! After today's attempt to have PA play online then ragequit shortly after I think they'll stick to just SP content and whoever they outsourced the MP to let them mess with it for however long it stays alive.
You all seem to think UE5 is bad wait until you see UE6. Just wait.
>>584455535I think "cheating" in this instance might be an appeal.AI working together as a team to bait you and take you down methodically. Whatever bullshit tricks they pull off come across as part of the challenge.
>>584454816Ac7 didn't sell that well to invest on that. Now however...Maybe you'll see it on ac9

>>584455346>AI still doesn't react to gunsIts been that way since Air Combat its a problem they can't fix unless you want something like DFM again.
>>584455664Seeing how Epic went full-blown vibecoding lately? Yeah. I just hope that devs using UE5 rn can optimize better down the line instead.

>>584457402Mission length was fine, my problem is that half of the missions in PW follows the exact same formula of>enemies spawn>then more>and then some moreIt's uncanny how many missions are split into 3 enemy "waves" and how many times it's the same enemies you were already fighting. Mission updates in Ace Combats feel way more natural and usually throw you for a bit of a loop or at least introduce some target variety
Okay listen up>if you pick MULTIROLE and your squadmates pick FIGHTERS, and there are no ATTACKERS, prioritize the ground targets and leave air targets for the FIGHTERS>if you pick MULTIROLE and your squadmates pick ATTACKERS, and there are no FIGHTERS, prioritize the air targets and leave the ground targets for the ATTACKERSThis should not have to be explained, but there are so many fucking douchebags playing this that it has to be explained. You will virtually guarantee your squad's defeat if you don't do this.

PW was good but it was an indie game and it showed. Certainly do wish PA would steal the voiced WSO thing but it would probably be too much of a hassle to write them into the plot without locking you to two-seaters forever.

>>584469510This franchise is basically Gundam.
>>584469093I May prefer Fire Bomber but i really like how Macross changes musical genres every season. Zero's chants were great too
>>584469734Yeah, I don't feel like downloading the bloat, thanks nonetheless >>584470159>>584470428Where would you recommend I start with Gundam?>>584470335Very nice comprehensive list, thanks buddy. Most of the things you listed are bits I enjoy about the AC series so I will definitely be giving these a look
>>584470159Actually in hindsight I am shocked it feels I am the only one who even brought up Area 88. The main cast in the titular area is kind of similar to Spare Squadron what with being a group of misfits operating from a scrap heap base, considered completely expendable by their boss and a bit of an every man for himself atmosphere.
>>584470924Always start with the Original Gundam. Then Zeta, ZZ and Chars counterattack for the UC essentials. After that (Little) Bee urself, watch whatever tickles your fancy. My Favorites are X and War in the Pocket. Avoid Twiligjt axis like the plague however
>>584470946I kind of wish PA would introduce all the aircraft from Area 88. Older aircraft has more character.
Rejoice Linuxfags, they're rebuilding (vibecoding) EAC just for you. (as long as you play on the approvedâ„¢ distros)You might get to play ACO in a couple of years
>>584469798>LAAMboatIt's not a LAAMboat. If you want to only do LAAMs, use another plane, since this one only gets 22 at maximum and requires 30 gold blueprints to even get them. Gripen goes LAAM + SASM, which means you only get 12-14 LAAMs. Due to >Multirole you don't one-shot high value air targets with LAAMs. You can snipe AI here and there but you'll be saving around half to snipe players stuck in retard circles with your teammates.>Maneuverability, Flaps, Bypass RatioPretty self explanatory. Your maneuverability under 1k kph sucks, so keep your speed up>MSL Guidance, SPW Guidance, SASM RadiusNo idea if this is optimal actually, but it works for me.>Anti-cloudFeels more useful than anti-stealth, but this is up to you really>Aircraft Speed (Top Speed Spec)I know I just complained about lack of ammo, but you only lose 2 of each SPW, 10 MSL, and 100 GUN. Realistically this is mostly here because the Gripen's other abilities kinda suck.>Gripen SpeedNot just speed, this is free maneuverability but requires level 20>High Altitude Stay above 1km for maximum benefit
>>584469093It felt like a missed opportunity in AC8 for Coster to have a rival pilot, possibly a merc, that would be into music as much he is but fate always put her as the opposing side.
>>584469586tuxbros... the pass is going to elapse before we can ever play...
>>584471318>secure boot required meaning I'll lose fan control since my board requires the custom nct6687d dkms modulethanks timmy tencent
>>584471448>Your maneuverability under 1k kph sucksWhere to see stats like this?
>>584471648The AC8 database link in the OP.
>>584469093>Mixed opinions about 7 as a wholeI've heard 7 isn't popular, I assume there's a better place to start?I only ask because 7's first few episodes are the only Macross I've ever seen and it didn't leave a great first impression.
8 is the first time the "main" jet is the F/A-18 isn't it?
>>584471450This would have been a great addition, along with more Cope spooking around.Coster got his moment early in the campaign.
How did the dev stream go?
>>584469510Patlabor (the OVAs and movies, not the anime)Mobile Suit Gundam, especially the early UC. Macross.Sento Yosei Yukikaze Like most people will tell you, the most crossover AC has is with mil-scifi mecha.>>584467575It's vague in my mind, but something morer about society in transition because of new technologies and the civil tumults it creates. Rather than focusing on an international war, center the plot on the run-up to and outbreak of a civil war.
>>584471893Yes, there were some named allied squadrons who used it but never the protagonist.
>>584472008I think AC's relationship with the mecha genre is overstated. There are simply just a lot of mecha anime, as opposed to plane anime.
he so smol he only need one popcorn
>>584471893Seems like it. The Top Gun Maverick fever sure hit hard, to the delight of Bug and Superbug fans often overshadowed by the Tomcat or Raptor
>>584471898Yeah they needed to do more with Coster. Would have been funny to see him constantly getting teased because of it and for him to rage on comms because he gets told his taste in music is shit.>>584471956Lasted less than 15 minutes.
>>584471778Start with the original SDF Macross, then the DYRL movie. Ignore anyone that tells you to start with the movie cause it genuinely expect you to have watched the entire series beforehand cause it skips a lot of stuff. 7 is a fun series but you need to go with a completely different mentality cause it's 95% music, 4% planes and 1% plot
>>5844717787 is a love it or hate it show,I'd always recommend starting Macross with the very first show, or watching DYRL at the very least if you simply must watch something "newer".
>>584472462>>584472285I had a sudden realization that Basara is essentially Cope if he was a rockstar playing music on the field
>>584470924If it says Universal Century, it's part of a big grand unified timeline with a lot of lore, but it's also very core to what Gundam does best. I started with 00, which is a standalone series with a world built around post-9/11 geopolitics. Sesson 1 is a bit of a slow burn, but if you finish both seasons and the movie, you'll know if the rest of the franchise is for you. Alternatively, Thunderbolt is just two movies that are a bit of a rushed adaptation of a manga, and movie 1 in particular is VERY action heavy and gorgeous. So I'll say Thunderbolt. You know how the Sotoans are chanting on open comms? The protagonist basically does that to announce his presence.
>>584470924>Where would you recommend I start with Gundam?0079. Don't fall for the "start with a spinoff" memes. >>584472109I think we agree, it's not really that AC has that much commonality with mecha anime as such. It's not -really- a mecha property with planes, rather Ace Combat is a mil sci-fi Japanese property with a blend of melodramatic stage play about it and a strong focus on military hardware. And the most common representative of that "base" DNA is mecha.
>>584472109Anon, most of the time mecha basically are used how fighters are used in AC, the TLS is just a hand held or arm-mounted saber instead of pointing straight ahead.
>>584472008>mecha slopGenuinely a genre for obsessed manchildren, please do not associate it with Ace Combat in any way.
>>584472597Just for reference, Thunderbolt isn't actually part of the mainline UC continuity.
>>584449556Being a good pilot doesn't mean you're a good soldier you dumbass
>>584449556She's a civilian acrobat.
>>584471893AC9 should have the Crusader as the protag aircraft.
>>584472109Not really, ace combat has the same DNA. It's the entire reason for no BVR, might as well.say strangereal is coated in Minovsky particles. Ace combat is 100% a mecha anime with planes. Just look at the rivals duel from macross plus, it's 100% how ace combat battles work
>>584472934You aren't wrong but S;G is easily as much of a manchild anime if not more so.
>>584438863>no X-02Hopefully they'll add it in DLC
>>584472597The UC timeline biggest mistake is making the One Year War last one year.
>>584472109Ace Combat is ăƒ¡ă‚«.At some point in the west, the conflation of 'mecha' with 'mech' became the dominant understanding of the word 'mecha' and the genre itself. That's why powersuit-only Tokusatsu shows without any 'mechs', 'robots', etc. are on /m/ (alongside the many toku shows with robots, of course).
>>584472934What the fuck do you think you're playing? Quit being retarded
>>584473184I didn't see much mecha anime (EVA, TTGL, FMP!, Aldnoah.Zero, Code Geass) but SG is goated
>USPS lost my copy of the vinyl / artbook edition and Bandai has no spares so they have to refund itFuck this gay earth.
>>584473452I'm not playing a genre that solely exists to sell expensive oversized toys, that's what.
>>584473501Damn, sorry buddy.
>>584473501>lost
>>584473365I remember MTL'ing a JP wiki for a gundam game a decade ago and "Mobile Suit" was always translated as "Aircraft"
>>584443410Wish they would add some minigames where Cipher comes out of retirement to go wreak havoc for money kind of like how they get Mobius 1 to come back to btfo Erusians every now and then.
>>584472934Dumbass s;g fag.
>>584473365Don't forget the Kaijus. Mothra rules, Ghidorah drools
>>584473365That's just "Eskimos have 20 words for snow" nonsense. Like we're already distinguishing between "real robot" mecha and "super robot" mecha in this conversation.Nobody would say Ace Combat is like Getta Robo, because that's the wrong end of the mecha genre. What Ace Combat shares in common with many mecha shows is Japan's cultural relationship with the military post-WW2 and military otaku autism. But where it departs is Ace Combat adds in very specific plane autism that you wouldn't find in a normal mecha show, as well as lacks any relationship with Tokusatsu (which all mecha shows have a varying sliding scale relationship with).Like you could adapt Ace Combat as a live action western military drama. And I don't mean in a bad way. The direct inspiration for Air Combat was literally Top Gun, every thing that came after was just what was swimming in Japan's cultural soup during the 90's and 00's.
>>584473612Delusional retard>hurr i said solelyYou are not better than mechafags for preferring planes instead of giant robots in your cheesy media. The overlap between the two is also massive. Like I said, stop being retarded.
>>584473657I am trying to be generous and believe that over the alternative.
I'm a big boy now
>>584449556Honestly this.No one wants to say it but she's a total liability and constantly disobeys orders and falls into the enemy's traps and never learns from it.
>>584473365They're really only there because /m/ has no mods and they couldn't survive on /jp/. >>584473612They both fetishize combat machines and use basic juxtaposition of "empowered outer form, emotionally vulnerable humans within". Cope's ghost being able to sense the Shadows, particularly 22, is nearly 1:1 to how Newtypes can sense each other in Gundam.
>>584454102I really do think adding supernatural/fantastical elements to AC is a great choice that'll pay off even more as it gets more cyberpunk, but newtypes would be a bit too much.
>>584474157To add on that, there is also the whole thus might as well be WW2 again, planes in ace boat act more like a ww2 prop dogfighting than a actual jet, much like Gundam s mecha still engage in melee combat like samurai / knights etc despite the high tech
>>584473838Very true, very true!
>>584473838I bet you liked Varan.
>>584466671>>584467286Iirc the show and the movie are worlds apart in quality (frontier)DYRL gets all the credit it deserves but the OG SDF show is possibly the most perfectly paced anime of all time
>>584474497Gundam's setting is bent over backwards to justify BVR not existing. There is a magic bullshit particle that simultaneously nearly completely fucks comms without a ton of relays and lasers, runs compact fusion reactors, can be turned into both projectile and fixed beam weaponry, and may or may not have something to do with altering people's brainwaves/allowing their souls to connect on a higher plane (heh) of existence.
How would the AC superplanes fare in the Gendum UC universe? Would a X-49 piloted by Nemo have a chance?
>>584469510Land battleship is definitely shin godzIla coded
>>584469510Armoree Core, especially the more story heavy entries.
Since we breached the Macross topic, I am recommending the PS2 Macross game. It plays a lot like AC but you can transform into a mecha as per usual. It's a bit of a learning curve for the controls but once you get the hang of it the game plays like a dream.
>>584469510The Silent Service, originally an old manga but with a modern TV adaptation on Amazon Prime, thus up for pirating.
>>584469510Strike Suit Zero.
Any good ace combat-like animes worth watching?
>>584473501thanks for the free collectors edition, friendt. USPS employee
>>584473365The only reason tokushit is on /m/ is because no other board was willing to take them in.
>>584470353I think it was done to show that we are in the future and older, non-modded planes that once where cutting edge are now garbage.
>>584475846https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecW16rLCgiI
>>584474865It's hard to say. Gundam does still have jets and smaller combat vehicles like Balls, but they generally get fucked by mobile suits. You can see like halfway here even a shit ass Zaku I can crunch fighters with ease. Granted, this is very early in UC but that doesn't exactly change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ezQZROkp6sI think even the superplanes would struggle due to the advances in armor, as well. You'd probably need something like the TLS or PLSL to do any damage.
Does anyone have an ace spawn chart for 8?

>>58445740228 is kind of a pain bc its 40 minutes long and you have to be balls to the wall the whole time to have a chance at S rank. Didnt really have much of a problem with the others though except for the rocky island ones.
well i've completely burnt myself out on online alreadymanaged to max all the low tier aircraft before the drudgery of joining lobbies only to sit around doing nothing as LAAMs/LACMs boats mop up everything on screen set in
>>584477198They really need to bring out point costs so players can actually play low tier aircraft. The fact devs have said nothing on it at all is just insane when the online mode is meant to be their way of introducing new planes to the game and its going to die within a month.
>>584477198>all low tier aircraft>in game modes with no cost limits
>>584477072(He's talking about PW, not AC8)
>>584477552look at the upgrade costs anonthey go up in tiers
>>584471607Can't you just self-sign it and import the keys with MOK management?
>>584475993Yeah it was the impression I got from that too, pretty much all of the "normal" planes like the F-16, Fulcrum or Flankers were prototype technology demonstrators, even the F-15S is closing original plane territory, its very different from the S/MTD.
Got three Lv 20 planes now.>Mig 31Absolute king of PvE (Assault) and better than the SU-57 in certain Co-op warfare missions (Fort Grays A2A) - LAAM is too strong against NPCs and the fact that it also gets QAAM to deal with close range makes it easily the best PvE A2A fighter in the game right now. The GUN is also insanely nice to spray with and to lead your shots since it's the fast fire type. Easy to use to finish off low HP players.>EA-36 BarricaderIEWS makes it mandatory to go against sweats, being a buffplane is incredible value to both your LAAMboats and ground pounders since the reload buff speed is insane. It's also great to protect your attackers and it's a very good multirole plane with the EW Buff and EA-36 specific missile buff. Probably the best Emergency Sortie plane in the game since you're buffing 7 others instead of 3. Fast fire gun just like the Mig-31 allows it to finish off stragglers. Does not turn-fight as well as either the Mig or the SU-57. Will get dunked on by TLS morgans.>SU-57Insane turnfighter, the fact that it doesn't come with LAAMs is the only reason why the Mig-31 is better for PvE (LAAM seriously is that busted.) Will out-turn anything, gets a general dmg up buff unlike the F-22, making it automatically better. GUN is incredibly strong but requires good aim.
What's a good early mission to farm money? The solar plant strike?
>>584477594You should at least be using one or two mid-tier craft.Frog, Intruder, and Hornet can safely be skipped to max your Fullback.Phantom, Tomcat, and Prowler then become your MiG or another mid-tier anti-airThen you save all your following blueprints for an EW craft and you're set
>>58447816307->16->27 are the farm mission
>>584478021Hey, can we party up? I won one Warfare match solo and it immediately threw me into a four-"person" team of sweats from the days of AC7.
>>584477635You VILL use only officially verified keys.
>>584478021>Will get dunked on by TLS morgans.Everything gets dunked on by TLS Morgans, even other TLS Morgans.
>>584457381The Middle East of Strangereal
>>584478163Mission 23 is good for it.
>>584465862Yes, its been a long time but yes I've watched it come to think of it I watched it 3 times once in English twice in Japanese.
>>584468218>Delta first halfYeah this first half was good and looked like they were going somewhere great. Then they shit those crisp white sheets so bad you couldn't fix the TV.Least the movies were good 2nd movie was great70-80 years old and Max is still an unstoppable force of nature.
>>584478198okay, but i want to max all the planes
>>584479189I said early nigga.
>>584479583So do I, but there's a much less painful way to do it if you first max the planes that can actually do something. And maxed out planes are guaranteed to give you a usb stick at the end of each match, so you technically don't even need to fly the shit ones if you don't want to
Good news, buddies
>>584480606<< Yo buddy, still downloading? >>
I do not like needing to play a warfare match for dailies.
Why isn't AC online just f2p? It certainly feels like a f2p game
All named aircraft down yet no gold trimmed x40 skin. So is it an All S-Rank reward then?
>>584479939think of the nameplates you'll miss out on by not flying 500 missions on all the planes though!
>>584481341Namco execs are dumb.I agree, there should be a Ace Combat Online f2p game, with the intention that it's 'permanent' and crosses over with new games as they're released.
>Kate like any good mother knows what discipline works best on her kids>Coster she just threatens to confiscate his music and he behaves>Tasha can be a more rowdy brat but the threat of being made to sit in the WSO seat for a mission with nothing but maths problems to occupy her settles her down quick
just as someone starting online now, is it better to uncap the tomcat you get from the pass or save credits to unlock more planes. Online sure has a lot of menus.
>join warfare>my team is lower tier planes>enemy team is all QAAM spam and ESM>alt-f4
>>584481539Just playIt feels like ass and doesn't get any better if you don't like itIt's a completely (worse) format than 7 but if you don't mind it I'm sure you'll find it addictingBut I can't stand it
Is there anything good about the EW A6? Like some gigabuff ability? Otherwise it's pretty damn lame compared to other options.
>>584481539Save credits for now. Upgrading the F-4 though at least once will give you access to UGB so you can at least do something in ground attack missions.
>>584481679When it was the only EW plane people had access to it actually wasn't that bad. Cause there are no point limits in Warfare or Assault though there is no reason to take one.
>>584481679A lot of options are "pretty damn lame" compared to other optionsThis is the game where all the top tier planes have>Qaam's and lacmsIn Their loadout
>>584481676oh I never played 7 online, I'm only vaguely interested in this because it's got the infinity stuff going for it>>584481729I'm hesitant to invest in the phantom so I'll just wing it for now. See how things go. I'm sure I'll throw a few games and that's ok.
>>584481493It would keep a better player count that way as well. I dont think people are going to redownload the entirety of AC8 just to play the online, so they might as well seperate it from the main game
>>584481729But the Mirage is right there with UGB
>>584481187I still need to do that play multirole in warfare 5 times challenge, its gonna be painful.>>584481341F2P games play better than this.
>>584481345Figured it out.Sharks in the numbered fleets mission count as well even though they're excluded from assault records.
>>584481979>hesitant to invest in the phantomThe only resource you really care about hoarding is General Blueprints. Both the Phantom and Tomcat A only cost Zoll (easily grindable white currency) to upgrade all the way to level 15I know it feels like you don't have much Zoll right now, but trust me you'll be swimming in it soon enough.
>>584481564>join warfareFound your problem.
>the team with 3/4 high tier planes wins in warfare>the team with a fucking prowler using ECM losesGo fucking figure. Warfare is a fucking terrible mode without cost limits.
>>584481979>>584482039Previously would have said the Mirage was a good purchase but I am now on the fence about it due to what everyone else is flying these days. Phantom is very cheap to upgrade and in fact the cost of blueprints and upgrades are equal to the same cost of the Mirage. Phantom with MG pods if you do decide to fully invest in it will absolutely shred in Emergency Sorties.
Uma collab when? Mayano outfit, stickers, plen skins and chat emotes
I don't get why the final mission uses yet another song of wings remix (song that comes out of nowhere that we have no connection to, already played 2 missions ago) instead of everflow (literally the main theme of the game, leitmotif used multiple times, pissed away on the penultimate mission where it gets overtaken by hortus regis alti) Seems like a waste
>>584482805The mission isn't epic enough for everflow, that's the problem.
>>584463703IMO the maps are far to sparse for 8 players. In an average PvE match, I can solo every ship on the map with my F-2 and still have ASHMs to spare. It's like the maps were designed as your average mission 3 or 4 with the expectation that the player is still probably using their starter aircraft and are engaging ground targets with MSL. Except it's eight players instead of one, and they might have some min-maxed planes too.
>>584482547You need to play one for your dailies.
>connection timed out just as we were about to kill ChandelierFuuuuuuckSorry DT and Kai, I think I'm done for the night.
>>584464443You just need to shoot "around" the cockpits like me. Watch this! *FOX-3*
>>584464003Stuff like this make me feel like there was originally going to be a Mercenary/Soldier/Knight type system, but it was removed early on.Same with Gemma.
>>584482538>Both the Phantom and Tomcat A only cost Zoll (easily grindable white currency) to upgrade all the way to level 15oh is that how it works? Alrighty, I'll just blast the A upgrades for now.can't believe it calls me out like this>>584482629yeah I mostly pick planes on vibes, I was thinking of aiming for the Falcon down the line but just noticed rank caps what you can buy
Yes, I do have autism.Pretty much all planes for me are Golden Ticket capped now.
>>5844680641: Capturing the airfield was strategically more important to the war effort than hunting down 11 and 222: 11's plane is significantly fucking faster than us and there wasn't a chance in hell that we'd be able to run her down once she chooses to disengage.
>>584483714How do you have so many general upgrade blueprints? Do you just have E-sorties to constantly cycle through?
>>584478021Aren't there only 3 GUNs in the game? And realistically only 2 since only the warthog and the frogfoot get the 10dmg gun.And isn't the slow-firing gun just straight up superior for almost everything, unless your target has under 15 hp?
>>584483880Only the Barricader, SU-57, Mig-31 and Morgan cost me general blueprints in that screenshot. The rest is all freely upgradable to Lv 10/15
>>584469510Gundam and Armored Core. Armored core is also abbreviated as AC.
>>584483482Think it was all the playtesters who couldn't help themselves killing all Sotoans? Not that you could blame them?
>>584481187I hate having to play Assault for dailies. Warfare can at least be fun(unless you're up against TLSniggers).
>>584483958Fast fire and slow fire gun have the same DPS. Fast fire gun has around 5x the ammo of a slow fire gun so in theory you can get more damage out of it overall.I prefer the fastfire for spraying and leading my shots from afar. I like the slow fire more for turnfights and close up dogfights.Their theoretical DPS is the same as the ROF of Fast fire is 3* the slowfire gun.SU-25 and A-10 get a fast fire gun with double the DPS, making them the best guns overall.
>>584484154Nah, probably just complexity. Also a problem with AC8 is that sometimes there is a LOT of targets on screen, to the point where it makes target switching a pain. This can be best seen on the Space Elevator landship mission when you need to hit the vents.Imagine that, but with optional semi-civilian or retreating targets. Visual mess.
>attacker focused assault mission>migger gets mvp still>lostI know that you basically don't get any more points for getting MVP or winning, but it's actually fucking hilarious how retarded the way points are calculated are.
Can you farm campaign money in MP?
>>584484345The target switching in AC8 got real bad occasionally. Mission 15 was my bane as the extra targets in the last phase stopped me from quickly targeting the last engine.
>>584484497No it has an entirely separate economy.
>>584484257It's only 3x the ammo, no? 800 for slowfire gun, 2400 for fastfire gun. >I prefer the fastfire for spraying and leading my shots from afar. I like the slow fire more for turnfights and close up dogfights.Eh? Why? Slowfire gun has lower spread and that's really the only meaningful distinction between the 2. I guess if you rely on tracers for leading your fire the fastfire gun can feel better but in terms of actually getting hits you should be just as likely to land 1 hit with slowfire as you are to land 3 with fastfire.I think the fact that the first shot in a burst is always "free"(not affected by reload rate) is another advantage of the slowfire gun. It always has a slight edge in damage dealt over any set duration, the longer the duration the lower its edge.
Someone pls vibecode an UE5 mod that adds a normal player seeker and not this consolefaggotry video control.
>>584484557Part of the problem is there are irrelevant targets. Like for example on ships, there's an AA turret or a VLS launcher, but what you really want to hit is just the ship itself to make everything go boom. Same with bombers. Who gives a shit about hitting both engines to down it?Not a problem in PW, where you had to hit the secondary targets to unblock the main one.
>>584484640Fastfire MP Gun has about 1750-2000 rounds. Slowfire MP Gun consistently has less than 400 rounds. Don't ask me why.
>>584484749>unblock the main oneOr just pop it with ASM
>>584484043Provided it's not modern Gundam because they've been stroking off CCA for like 10 years at this point with no end in sight And armored core barely ever puts you on a pedestal outside of maybe 6, everything else feels like from soft vague cryptic shit
>>584484856Not my point. My point is that there are irrelevant targets and PA needs to consider modernizing how targeting works a bit.
>>584484242Frankly neither mode is really any fun.
So we all agree these two are the biggest Chads in the entire Sotoan Air Force and make the Shadows look like dweebs, right?
>>584485251>all nuggets die>these two have a Hogan's Heroes-esque escape
>>584484830huh. I just checked and you're right, the F-14 has almost 2000 rounds.I was just comparing the F-35 with my Su-34 and the F-35s fastfire gun only has 1120 rounds at lvl 20 while the Su-34s slowfire gun gets 453.Online gun round ammo is just fucked, it should just be 800/2400 like in SP, no idea why they're so low. Especially because MSL counts are so ungodly inflated that I don't think you could ever spend them. How the fuck do you spend 198 missiles in a 5 minute match?!
>>584484749Targeting wishlist:>Priority is the mission critical target/naval ship center within ~5 degrees of your boresight>Then ordinary targets within ~5 degrees of your boresight>then just start cycling through shit near you>the button to have the camera track your target should not be the same fucking button used to select new targets.
As soon as I'm done with this I'm not touching the online. This shit is NOT fun.
>>584485251What the fuck is a pastoral air wing
>>584485251They were the only two Sotoans remotely close to being considered part of the human race.
Should I even bother? I still need to upgrade my F-16 as well as my F-15E to 20, and I still want to buy the F-15c and upgrade that. I hate how much zoll you need to upgrade anything. This f2p ass upgrade system is so tedious.
>>584485417https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvLDf0a3XkoNomad goatfucker nonsense, and I'm not joking and will not explain further because there's nothing to explain.
>>584485414Same.
any tips on winning 1v1 in difficulty 2-3? it seems even fully upgraded SASM and QAAM will miss 100% of the time hereI'm right behind people and they are more mobile than the missiles and too unpredictable for guns.
>>584484856It's a cool idea, but I feel like half the time my ASMs pop a random AA gun on a vessel instead of the vessel instead
>>584485417theyre sheperds
>>584485615Better to upgrade multiple planes to 15, than upgrade 1-2 planes to 20 imo
>>584485338They're probably my favorite Assault Records so far.>>584485417They say in comms they're from a Prairie Air Wing, so I assume Pastoral means they're a domestic patrol squadron since Sotoa has(had) plains and prairies. But it also what >>584485670 says too. Pastoral can also mean fatherly or acting like a shepherd, which is fitting since they try to escort the nuggets.>>584485528Indeed.
>>584463968Where have I seen this gif before...?
>>584485780I have basically every plane I use at 15 at least right now. My 18E is at 20, but it was so time consuming to do even that. I can only wonder if they made the online this shit on purpose so they don't need to make another online mode ever again.
>first time playing warfare get matched into a 22+57, with an ECM sucking their dicks ah I see, so does warfare just suck until you get more unlocks
>>584486453Nah it sucks even if you have unlocks. Only truly fun mode is Emergency Sortie and devs don't like people playing that.
>>584485615>15EThe special weapon and abilities you get after level 15 aren't worth it imo>15CThis, by contrast, is shit before you fully upcap it for SASMs
>>584486256They're just morons. Didn't even spend 1 minute looking at how other good multiplayer games work.
>go back to Fort Grays>expect the hangar theme from 7 to play>it never does
>>584486256>I can only wonder if they made the online this shit on purpose so they don't need to make another online mode ever again.I honestly thought the same thing. Like if there were one or two major glaring issues I could understand but absolutely everything they could do wrong they did. It is hard to fuck things up to this extent without doing it deliberately as even devs inexperienced with multiplayer would be guaranteed to get at least something right.

flight speed or range for missiles as a second parts boost?
>>584474064How're you building/using it?
>>584487389Missiles rarely chase targets for long enough for range to be a problem, it's not like the ps2 games.Speed is where it's at. But I'm still unsure if going faster also decreases it's turning speed.>>584487389
>>584487728yeah, I feel like the missiles performed worse with the speed parts, but I don't know if I'm crazy
posted yesterday about how i was being filtered by the shadows in m28 and also cried a lotthanks for the tips and also holy shit this game. so many tears. everflow is beautiful bros....i love u alli hope ac9 ends up being like....Ac3 Combat 9: Electrosphere.
>>584486630>This, by contrast, is shit before you fully upcap it for SASMsYea, I know, that's why I'm so conflicted. It takes so long to get the requited currency and even then your reward for leveling a plane to 20 and then maxing it out is not playing it anymore because you are wasting fucking time playing a maxed out plane instead of leveling something else. It's insanely frustrating.
>>584488094I hope AC9 the protagonist squadron is just what if the Immortals but they were pilots instead of crayon eaters?
>>584487728I know that the Mig-31 is better, but I think that I'm enjoying the F-4's HVAA missiles even more. If they pull a high-g turn then other missile will miss too anyway. Minimize that window to react.
>>584487728>>584487923I used QAAMs with speed, lifetime and no parts and I honestly can't tell the difference. Thinking maybe guidance only is the way to go just to save on cost. That's also what makes SASM better since it clearly benefits from 4 upgrades.
>>584489460guidance is the best no matter what, especially if your plane has boosting abilities like the Barricader
>>584490512100 degrees!
let me get this straightYuktobania already was busy with a war in 2009 and still thought it was a good idea to declare war on Osea the year after?
I was going to max the Growler for the spinny propellers but now everyone's talking about how good the Barricader is
Is it possible to prevent queen flight from dying?
>>584490841_No.
>>584490776Growler abilities upgrade ECM and ESM and you can stagger them. Also the speed, mobility, and stability stats are all higher
>>584490743I think its some kind of running gag in this series that every nation with a powerful airforce starts to get too cocky for their own good.

>>584490743It was merely some young, hardline generals
>>584436478Nta but I remember thinking as a lad the Nosferatu was a step down from the fallenIn hindsight it has a way cooler silhouette and I daresay the ADMM 's in 6 are the most broken spw in any ace combatEven OG MPBMs
>>584491260Dork
You say that as if it's something that doesn't regularly happen in history. It may be strange, but it is real.
>respawn time (team) x 0.6
>>584491243It is a banger but I wish it didn't have the horns playing in the background. (1:28 to 1:46 doesn't) It gets too busy with them. And that applies to a lot of the songs in the ost. They're all a bit too busy.
>>584491083the Growler only beats the Barricader in stability
I love using my F2 and upgrading max speed, maneuverability and doing UGB bombing runs when bunch of F22 players stick to my ass.
>>584491513>He doesn't build his barricader with full standard missle upgrades to farm selfishlyx0.6 respawn time is useless since you can just refuse to get hit by missles.
>>584491260I still see it.
>>584491243The hangar themes in these games are so fucking good. The one in ACi was so good they reused it for 7
>>584490776the Growler is better if you have competent teammates, the Barricader is better if you're flying solo and need to carry
>>584491968seems most useful in warfare and emergency sorties for your teammates. but in warfare that might just mean more points for the other team>>584491768I had the abilities on for both of them in the build planner. mobility for the barricader is still higher. so is StealthLevel, 6 to 0
What a day
>>584492702Based on Belkan technology, btw.
>>584492873Thanks to the precedent set with the Valkyrie I can't wait for them to make the x-1 a fucking top secret super weapon next gameOr the Hercules for that matter
>>584493091Spruce Goose would be a good 'superweapon' for WW2 era Strangereal.I've been to that museum. Thing is basically an arsenal bird on its own.
>>584486023Main character in Masotan
>>584491243I'm starting to consider it may be the best hangar theme of the series
>>584492674Check the graphs rather than relying on the mobility stat. They're basically the same around 1000 km/h which I'd say is the most important bit but Growler gets much better pitch at lower speeds. Barricader does get Kulbit tier PSM whereas Growler is no PSM but I think PSM is bullshit anyway.I'd make my decision on whether I want to help the team more or help myself more. Barricader will be better at getting kills selfishly thanks to its missle boosters and Growler will be better at helping the team thanks to its range extensions.
>>584493202>Spruce Goose >Belkan aircraft >Will have rocket boosters and will carry 5 Me-262's on its wings along with 30 gun turrets.
The slight delay on the missiles from the bay doors opening was really annoying tbdesu
>>584493881Nah, nah. Spruce Goose is like some Osean bomber that WW2 belka stole and now needs to be shot down. The jet powered mothership would be Belkan home made.

So buddies which Comona did you like better the one in 4 or 8?
>>5844943108 captures that "anticipation of going to space" feel betterit also has the benefit of a space flgiht taking place at dusk, which is kino as fuck even though no space agency does that
>>5844943104finally getting a kill on a yellow is more satisfying than fighting any of the shadows in my opinion
do u guys watch ur replays after every mission
>>5844943108-1, shooting down that rocket was the most laughs I've had at an AC
>>584494541Depends if I wanna take screen shots or video of something.
>>584494310As a mission I like 4 more but Star-bound Bird is not only better than Comona but its one of the best tracks in the series

>>584494836I'm a Blue Sky Home man. That's AC8's theme as far as I'm concerned.
>>584494541If they're ground attack mission then yeah, otherwise meh.
>>584494836the first part with the english lyrics is so fucking badthe second part is great and it works great as a lemotif in other songs like Outlier but that start really ruins it for me

I wish she had napalm.
>>584494836I don't like the last part, the female singer doesn't fit with the 2nd male chorus. The middle part with only 1st male chorus alone is *really* great and on par with the best main theme but everything around it doesn't match it.
>>584495049It's funny that 7 and 8 have probably some of the best mission use cases for the Napalm Bomb but we haven't had it back for several games
>>584438232NTA but forgettable is exactly how I'd describe it, it's "okay" by the (extremely high) standards of the series but even having replayed it recently I struggle to recall even a single track beyond that one moment where the Arsenal Bird's shield falls in M19, not counting the DLC. Daredevil doesn't even come close to Zero or Megalith. Meanwhile AC8 is hitting you with this shit within like an hour of starting.https://youtu.be/DmnrsLG7TIchttps://youtu.be/bZbg0j_LHkw

how do i explain it.i used to hate fort grays warfare because it was strictly a dogfight mission. it turns out that if i stop using multirole planes and just use fighters for that mission specifically, it is a way cozier time and that i was putting myself through hard mode by accident. the f-14d kind of fucks for dog fights but i hate how slow it feels in comparison to the berkut and the fullback.
