I think it's important to remember that the whole "Road to Doomsday" tie-in that Netease has been doing was very likely forced on them by Disney for maximum brand synergy. The MCU has been limping along after Endgame with some real shitters like Love and Thunder, Multiverse of Madness, and Secret Wars. Unironically the only sub-franchise that's actually gained momentum is Spider-Man. Rivals is unironically one of Marvel's strongest cards right now, even if it's not the cultural force it was at launch.But once we get to Doomsday, get Doom, and hopefully Disney eases up, they'll be able to take more time to polish the game and add worthwhile content instead of slapped together modes churned out in two months.
