I want to see low pick killers perks buffed, as well as incantation and instrument survivor perks fully changed. Let me walk around while playing a lute/tambourine. Bardic's effect is alright it could use a buff considering you have a 1/2 chance that the perk does essentially nothing. Haywire also needs a new effect regarding gate slowdown now that 99% gates is no longer common practice.

New MMR system still ass

Survivor MMR now actually rewards gen repair, but it's still overly-focused on escapes.
Chase time should be the #1 factor in Survivor MMR by far, then flashlight/stun saves, followed by Generator repair in a distant third.
Ability to prolong chases is the most important part of measuring a Survivor player's skill level, so it should be the #1 most important thing for MMR, but BHVR is fucking stupid so it isn't.
Escaping should be basically a non-factor in MMR because having it be a factor just discourages teamplay.
Doing shit like doing a risky endgame save, sacrificing yourself so 2 other Survivors can get out instead should be rewarded, but instead it's punished.
It's an improvement on what it used to be (where literally nothing other than escaping mattered), but it's still dogshit.

For Killer on the other hand, is arguably worse than it used to be. Like, there needs to be a difference between:
>Killer gets 3K/4K at 2+ gens because they stomped the Survivors asses despite the Survivor's best efforts
>Killer gets 3k/4k at 2+ gens because the Survivors weren't playing the game correctly and were just dicking around instead
>Killer gets 3k/4k at 0-1 gens because they had deliberately planned around late/endgame and had effectively checkmated the Survivors
>Killer gets 3k/4k at 0-1 gens because the Survivors got cocky and started throwing.
But there isn't, the system does not care about context at all. Likewise, the system is far too lenient on the Killer's losing. Getting a 2K should be a massive failure that results in a big MMR loss, but instead it's treated as slap on the wrist. There should not be a "draw/tie" state for the Killer. Even a 1K or 0K barely does anything to a Killer's MMR.

I don't even know how you would fix this, but surely it could still be massively improved from what it is now.

God I can't wait until the overhaul update next year.
The current codebase is a fucking mess because the devs never expected the game to be massively successful, and didn't design it with longevity in mind.
But since it did get successful, they've had to make it into a stapled-together frankenstein nightmare.
Thank god they're actually gonna do a fresh start.
Even if it's buggy as fuck at launch, it's better to have a rough period of adjustment that eventually gets fixed, than to continue on with the current spaghetti code nightmare.

Also laughing my ass off that the entire update is blatantly just "DBD2 except we're not calling it that and we're releasing it as an update, because if we actually made it a new game we'd have to go through the nightmare of re-negotiating every license deal"

I hope if they do get classic Freddy, BHVR actually makes him his own separate character with a different power and not just a skin. He deserves it.
Almost certainly not gonna happen though, unfortunately.
