It was a pretty rough topic, so I deliberately avoided touching on it.
Actually, there was quite a bit of uproar around the previous revision overseas, and unlike OCG, they don't announce the schedule for the reveal in advance, and the fact that the lists they did reveal didn't have much impact on the meta became a major flashpoint.
That sparked a trend where video creators and streamers all jumped in with pretty aggressive tones, posting banlists packed with tons of cards and declaring "these need to be banned!"—basically stirring up their viewers—and the overseas community... to put it mildly, stayed in a pretty heated state for a while.
With this TCG revision featuring the unprecedented advance notice, and an unusually high number of reveals even when including OCG—not to mention just how many—that feels like it can't be entirely unrelated to those reactions.

In fact, I've seen people declaring, "The official responded because we raised our voices!" So, whether that's good or bad is up for debate, but in terms of drawing out this official response stacked with one unprecedented move after another, yeah, it might really be the case.

My locals is quite competitive anon! The players bath, are kind, and fun to hang out with and the owner likes me, but I still have to go against Rolad, Elfnote, and Angelechy! I also consider myself competitive, but I try my best with rogue decks, and I’ve done well in the past. Don’t think being competitive is a bad thing! You can want to win with the best deck and be a good player fostering a healthy environment. I encourage everyone who can do to find a good locals. Seriously, nothing beats paper play imo. I hope this banlist makes the game less toxic for everyone, and the worst mistake the Japs made get hit!

You know, it's funny how YGO players are so disconnected from the company that they don't even recognize this as a possibility, but there are so many things Konami could do improve the player experience besides banlists.
Many of them are standard in other card games.

I love Fortune Ladies! I started playing not playground YGO in the middle of the Syncro era so they caught my attention but as much as it hurts to say, even at that speed of the game they were pretty slow, specifically in field presence since their strongest tool not only MiSsEs TiMiNg but also doesnt summon Ladies from the hand which can be a real BITCH when you draw into double Dark or Earth on your starting hand. That tiny bit of support they had was fine.... for the time it came out but all it can do is bring out a single synchro and literally nothing else.

Sadly, the only way i can see them make it in the modern day now is with retrains of the OGs. Have Light NOT miss timing and summon Ladies from everywhere yes even the banishment, have Earth provide some sort of protection instead of a tiny burn, have Wind destroy backrow on ANY summon and YOU choose the number instead of it being equal to the Ladies on the field, have Dark also banish monsters she destroys by battle to make her even more formidable, keep the OG water and fire because draw 2 and current ATK burn are fun. Generally i'd also buff their stats because 2000 ATK on a level 5 and 1400 on a level 4 is simply not good enough, even back then. Lastly a Future Visions retrain with the original effect but also summons a banished Fortune Lady after a cost or whatever. It might not be the most well thought out suggestions but off the top of my head, these alone can propel the deck to playable at least.

There's a hope for the future of the game only if they release multiple lists of this kind in the future

I'd be fine with them getting a complete modern retrain. To be honest, I wish Konami did retrains more often, which it does seem like they're getting more comfortable with doing now.
It's not so bad to just admit that certain old archetypes just don't work, or that they're too clunky and outdated mechanics wise. The miss timing thing you bring up is a good example of that. I hate miss timing from old cards.

I can't say for sure what the possibility of Fortune Ladies getting some support/retrains is but I do think they will eventually get something and we can only hope that when that time comes they do go the retrain route. Hopefully it's damn good too...

I think the main issue with them is that they are insanely specific. Light has the dreaded WHEN, Fire needs to be summoned by a FL effect AND in attack position, Wind needs to be NORMAL summoned AND have an EQUAL number of backrow at best to pop, Water needs to both be summoned by a FL effect AND have another FL other than a copy of her self on the field to proc and then Earth and Dark are tribute monsters. The effects themselves are pretty okay, the issue is that there's no cohesion or flow to set them off reliably besides Light where outside the stupid timing nonsense, is the most versitile of them all. This is why unfortunetly (pun not intented) retrains are the best kind of bandaid i can think for them.

Im mixed on retrains and to an extend support that is entirely new instead of helping out the existing stuff because when they do happen, they usually alter the playstyle of the originals. Cyberdarks got REALLY good support but instead of doubling down on their original gimmick, all they do is turbo a Towers monster like half the decks in this game already do. Fortune Ladies' main gimmick is the level increase, swarming the field and advance the gamestate with their effects so i wish with whatever way they support them still retain this playstyle in some way and dont turn them say, into a generic synchro vomit deck.
