Was thinking about this while on the pooper but honestly the unvaulting of content is probably the smartest move Bungie could make regarding more Destiny. Some people would say to just make new stuff or "finish up shattered cycle" but I doubt SC was as finished as people think and new stuff would take much longer to get into the game than unvaulting old stuff. Though this could blow up in their faces if it takes longer than 6 months to get it all back into the game as people will lose interest if it takes a year or longer. Unvaulting also relies on them updating the gear with tiers, new perks and armor set bonuses to keep veteran players interested and to keep that content evergreen with the rest of the game.As much as I question how they are going to make money it seems that Eververse and expansion purchases will be able to fund unvaulting considering D2's top sellers placement on steam. Though I don't expect Bungie to execute any of this well enough and it to be half-baked and shit, so the final rape gets ever closer.
