What do?A: That's intentional. Try to work out how to progress, or check the puzzle guide if you really can't figure it out.Q: Is there any way to find scenes easier? I keep getting lost.A: The guide mod in the tools section will show exactly what scenes are available and how to get them at any given time. It's highly recommended. You can also use URM to raise the affection/lust values of characters if you get tired of grinding them.Q: What kind of /vn/ is this, exactly?A: It's a sprawling, 3-million-word long harem dating sim with an emphasis on slice-of-life comedy and romance that at times dips into denpa (schizo) themes and slowly unfurls a grander narrative as a web of drama forms between the cast. Play the start and you'll soon see what's up.Previous thread: >>583693453
Do not the Chinami.
>>584669830
>>584671660This always felt slightly notable to me because Selebus actually textured the books in the background. Makes me feel it is purposeful when he doesn't. Obviously, all those books relate to Haruka's internal state: stress, self-help books, books about women starting careers, and funnily a bunch of HOPE books."The Garden Reborn: Bringing new life to your aging landscape"lol
>>584672729Also "Inside Every Woman"I didn't notice it on my first read but she's keeping her left hand below the counter when you meet her for the first time. Little details like that are neat.
Chinami is so cute.
>>584677309I was wondering if anyone would post that, lol.
I was having an unrelated chat with my friend the other day that finally ended up with me putting the pieces together to realize that all three gods are Sensei which the story teasing were one thing, but what really set it in was discussing the psychological affects of abuse, especially on people without others to really rely on.Now, this is more thoughts than theories so don't correct me if I'm wrong unless you see something off with the connections. My first impressions of Hope were that he doesn't sound like hope at all. There's been some brainrot going around that says the opposite of despair is hope. But this is not the truth. Hope, in his words and deeds, seemed far less like Hope and more as desperation to escape despair, but more on that in a sec.First and always first, there is a Nozomu. A corrupter, an abuser. Abuse plants seeds inside a person, especially during childhood. These seeds latch on to wounds, are fed with blood, and cause lingering pain within as it reproduces and creates another Nozomu. In less flowery terms, the abused become conditioned to abuse. As the child grows, so too do the seeds planted within. If there remains anything of the child's original personality and morality, it will begin clashing with the plants thriving on his pain. If the abuse wins, an abuser is born. If the abuse loses, life continues on, worse for wear. But if there's a stalemate, something akin to Sekai is born. Wherein the individual remains both conflicted and aware at all times and begins isolating themselves to prevent continuing the abuse. It is an immensely painful position in which the mind deteriorates quite rapidly, bringing in a whole host of new issues. Though from multiple experiences, depression, which has already been there, thrives more than any.
>>584678220How far are you into the game?
>>584678220Which brings us back to Hope.Within the place that someone like Sekai would live, there's more pain and torment in simply existing than anyone on the outside could think possible. Mental illness breeds like bacteria, they're never somehow too hard on themselves, and the isolation compounds existing issues as they're left with the only person they (arguably rightfully) despise. Suicidal compulsions are quite difficult to describe to someone who has never felt them, nor could I tell you whether it's a product of the desperation or a contributor. But it's in that desperation that Hope could be born, and contrary to its name, and it's manifested from subconscious self-preservation. Between Nozomu and Sekai, something has to give, something has to break. Hope is the compromise to break the stalemate within. To escape the pain, he'll seek pleasure. To escape the guilt, he'll deny. To escape the abuse, he'll use, he'll pretend, he'll lie. He'll become a version of the abuser that he can justify. This is why the world was made for him, why it's all a game. It's the only way he can live with himself.
>>584678536Far enough to know he did not have a good time as a kid, not far enough to substantiate it.Like I said, it's more thoughts than theories. Most recently, I took a ride on Kaori's BWC while doing some strange dance, and the 4th one is coming around any day now.
>>584679997Well I'm caught up, so need to beat around the bush. You'll get actual answers on some of this stuff later.
>>584681673I figured, but I felt my descriptions were more amusing than straight answers.

>>584685210Chinami is very smart
>>584685210My true wife
>>584678220Very interesting stuff. You're picking up the right thematic implications I think
>>584692726I'm sure the "reality" of the situation will be a bit more batty than that, but to add to what I said earlierOne of the biggest aspects of Sekai in relation to the trauma cycle is suppression. It's a typically self-imposed shutdown of the harmful aspects of one's brain with repression, isolation, and combatting thoughts and feelings deemed dangerous, foreign, or unwanted. Which is why Kaori's connections including her living in Apt. 23, her "name" being the trigger for the first Himawari appearance, her hospitalization, and memory loss (as well as the comment at the end of her FIND JOHN event) were beginning to stick out.At the hospital, coming out of critical condition, she too would have been "covered in wires", and there's nothing so far confirming that she actually had a physical traumatic brain injury. While brain damage could be used to explain her... well everything. Severe psychological trauma and regression could as well, leaving her past as completely suppressed.
All is right in the world.
Trees do not have eyes...
This entire sequence is seventeen kinds of whack. But that's par for the course with Kaori.
>>584697057>her "name" being the trigger for the first Himawari appearanceShe shows up multiple times in Chapter 1.
Welp, that's a wrap, boys. Thanks for coming out, guess I'll see you all on the other side when I choose to be a terrible guardian. At least I think this is the only way forward? I've reached a point where my memory can't save me, at any rate.>>584720325I was more talking about the Happy Event

>>584722113Are you restarting?
>>584722232Is there an alternative?I mean, I could do what it tells me to for once and stop playing the game. But I shan't.
>>584722429>Is there an alternative? It's really what you should do. Once you get caught up you'll realize how much this stuff actually would have fucked you over in Chapter 4. You need to fuck Haruka too (as well as do the second choice in her route later). Just do every bad thing you can. The guide mod should identify everything that will cause you to miss events (events with a red "!" next to them that you can click on).
I wonder what chika's reaction would be to sensei asking her if he can fuck chinami.
>>584724529Losing her mind then picrel.
>>584722429Oh also, do you know about the secret scenes? Might as well mention it since you're using URM.
>>584725338>Oh also, do you know about the secret scenes? You'd have to delve into spoilers for me to know what the hell you're talking about there.I have URM but I don't really touch it. That was the first time I actually checked a flag.
>>584724529we've seen something pretty close with the threesome suggestion scene
>>584725478I don't know if they're actually spoilers to just point out that they exist, since there's no way you'd even know about them otherwise. Anyway, the first one is in Chapter 1 and the others are in Chapter 4 IIRC. When you do the event Scientific Research (where you go to the beach with Chika, Chinami, and Yumi), turn on URM when you get to the choice on who to spend time with and there will be a hidden choice locked behind having an impossible affection level for one of the other characters. Also if you're going to do everything make sure to use the computer on the weekend and put in the wizard mode cheat code: allcharactersare18+
>>584725857>put in the wizard mode cheat codeWhat the fuck does that do
>>584725939There are two picture messages much later in the game that you won't get (Chinami, Tsukasa) unless it's on. It also unlocks some other bonus animations on the computer. Might do other stuff later as well. Using any of the other cheats (like for affection levels) will punish you but this one is okay. You should get picrel after you use it.
Might keep this save going and just change the one flag on the other. If it was just missing scenes, that'd be one thing, but locking off the entirety of everything after Chapter 2 is a bit much.>>584726276Can't say I'm too interested in Chinami or Tsukasa anything.I'm currently pretending whats-her-butt was a special exception. Not pretending very well though.
>>584726556I think if you want to read the full story and get a full exploration of all the characters then you need to do everything. Missing the character stuff is the real punishment IMO.
WAITI HAVE AN IDEA
Of course this would work.
But that doesn't seem to be the end.
Truly a profound and contemplative series for what I am truly missing in this moment is what makes me, me. And in the odd eyes of my neurotic friend, I am simply -man.
>>584727898the last step is arguably the hardest
>>584730178If the previous pic didn't mention it, I figured it out.Maya would be proud of how many melons I downed before working my way through the list.
Don't do this to me.I swear to god, if there are only two people here, I will infiltrate Japanese politics and push for the most violent anti-foreigner extremist groups to be put in office for the sole purpose of the day I get to watch your grimy ass be crucified in the street.
Did you know it costs around $600 for a one way trip to Tokyo?I thought that was interesting.
>>584726556Wait anon, did you really get locked out of the rest of the game because you didn't fuck Ami? Bravo Selebus, he'll continue receiving the Fuck around Your players award
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess the resets aren't the end of the world. They're just the world. Those that wake up see the world as suddenly changing, but the reality is that everyone is asleep, isolated from each other, and Sensei's dreams in particular are just wild. When the "reset" happens, the system is weakened and allows some people to wake up. Them praying to Sekai isn't for the world to be restored, but for them to be returned to the shared dream of Kumon-mi.Probably not, but I think it'd be cool.
>>584730875GJ anon, Chapter 3 is great, enjoy
>>584730875It's still far away, but be sure to tell us when you reach the Peekaboo scene, even if by that point the secret is already out.

>>584731836you definitely aren't locked out, there are scene variations for it throughout the game
>>584754081
>>584731836You can continue playing the game (for the time being at least) but you get locked out of a lot of stuff relating to her and other characters.
Nodoka's theme playing here.
"Gifts" are indeed received in rain.
Futaba literally duplicates during one of the resets in Chapter 4.
>>584776162and in her TSS in a way
>>584776229True, forgot about that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRutSMI9ulA
Might be a good idea to start torching them. Sorry Sana, but it's gotta go.
>>584776162The repeated Futaba clone / duplication imagery is genuinely very bizarre. The only thing I can think of is that she sees herself as a monster / as an "other" in the mirror, which becomes literal. It would be funny if it was just a literal case of there accidentally being 2 dolls of her though
Interesting "memory" to have (visiting the wall in middle school), especially given it's with Nodoka. Not sure I want to speculate too much on this point so I'll just note it for now.>>584778210Something of note might be that later when Futaba "slips" (IIRC in her TSS) she gets hit with a volleyball and the text reads something along the lines of "Futaba dies. Futaba is reborn." I can't remember exactly and I don't have a screenshot.
>>584778352Iconic Sel shot of two people walking together but looking in opposite directionsI bet it took great effort for Sel to look people in the eyes when he talks to them, if he does so at all. People can read your mind by looking your eyes, so it's a sign of honesty to do so. It's very intimate knowledge that leads to Sensei striving to never look at people in the eyes.
>>584778572Something I liked on my first read was seeing him gradually become more expressive over the course of the game, given the extremely disassociated way he appears for a long time.
>>584758070
Starting to wonder whether this actually is gibberish or not.My other guess is that it's a more complicated cipher like alternating between letters. Though that might take a bit more time to test.My other OTHER guess is that it just decodes into a different language, though the lack of articles in Latin leaves me skeptical. It'd be better if I had some context or keywords to go off of, but so far "walls", "happy", "human", and "mortal" are out.
>>584783323If only all this stuff were just decoded somewhere...
>>584784842Yeah, if only.
>>584785223The wiki is an official resource that the game itself links to, so I don't know what your issue with it is.

No can do, sorry.
I forgot Chinami is supposed to have asthma. Doesn't ever really come up.
This comes off substantially different in hindsight, doesn't it?
Are those uh...Are those her mother's eyes?
>>584790228
>>584791625Have you noticed something about eye colors?
>>584792723Normally, no, I wouldn't. But with Yumi pointing her matrilineal eyes out, I've been slightly more cognizant of it.But if you were ask me about more subtle meanings and hints given every character's eye colors... I'd have to get back to you on that.I was more noticing the flower on her head. The eye similarities came next.
>>584792987There could be some kind of pattern if you check all the characters that are biologically related and see what their eye colors are.
>>584793567I'm really not sure what you're getting at unless you're implying sensei's eyes are supposed to be red, but he's either "lost/given" them or just fallen into the voidThe only other patterns I'm seeing are This Nao creature having the same eyes as Kirin/Karen and Ami, Io and Yasu sharing eyes, one of Kaori's eyes being the same as Maki's rather than Yuki's, and Nodoka's being very similar to Ami's. But as far as familial relationships go, it's more "yep, they're all matrilineal" than anything else.Sana and Sara's are greenMakoto and Maki's are blueYumi and Yuki's are paleAnd Touchy and Tsubasa's eyes are amber
Eh, now that I look closer, they're more magenta than red. Also thank you Nodoka, for your hard work and dedication to fanservice.
>>584795156I'll clarify. Ignore Sensei since we're just talking about females. What I was getting at is that all of the characters who have immediate biological relations (barring Sensei) have the exact same eye color: Chika/Chinami, Yumi/Yuki, Makoto/Maki, Sana/Sara, Touka/Tsukasa/Tsubasa, Noriko/Niki, Kirin/Karin. By "exact" I mean the exact hue, so not just "blue" but the specific shade of blue, so your comparison of Yasu and Io is wrong. Kaori is another abnormality but she's also a cousin of Yumi's rather than a sister or something. Your read of Nao-chan is also wrong, just ignore her until she actually shows up.
>>584796914You say exact same, but to me Io and Yasu's are the exact same. Also I say "blue" because I'll be damned if know the difference between ocean blue and indigo.
>>584797259>but to me Io and Yasu's are the exact sameWell they're not. Don't know what else to tell you.
This look pains me immensely.>>584798151I guess they're slightly off shade? I'm not really the eye-looking type.
>>584799080I'd say this is one of the more basic aspects of the color stuff this game has going on. The characters' name colors can also be relevant.
This has been a rather unpleasant last hour and a half.
>>584806976Haruka do be like that
>>584806976welcome to chapter 3
>>584823478Uta... Her thread was so long ago, but not forgotten...
Reminds me I still need to give my unasked opinions of everyone from Chapter 2 and expect some flak for the disparity between Io and Noriko. But first, watching eight idjits, including myself, flail about for three hours while my mental state takes the greased-up waterslide to hell.

Alright, Chapter 2 was... a bit off for the first half. The constant railroading and character intros kinda sucked, but it wasn't bad either. Few existing characters have actually moved spots though.Best Girl Tier:Maya, no contest. You can't see it, but she actually got bumped up a few tiers, but when you're already at the top, it just isolates you that much more. I already knew exactly what kind of character she'd be from the intro at the shrine, so nothing that happened here has been surprising in any way, it's just nice to finally have some pay off.ALMOST Best Girl tier:IoKaoriBoth great contenders, both disasters in their own right, but both are two of the most endearingly compatible characters with my own shriveled heart.Top-of-the-line Tier:MollyNodoka (not including her antics in C3 which would get her ass dropped)TsubasaToukaYasu (fucking saved in the last minute by that christmas party scene)NikiYumiYukiSaraSanaWakanaKirinAmiGood girl tier:AyaneRin (Get bumped, nerd)FutabaMakotoMakiOsakoChikaChinamiKarinUtaHaruka (Good wife form)MakiMeh Tier:TsukasaImai (likely to raise in coming chapters)OtohaTsuneyo (As much as I like her, she's only ever in the background)Die already Tier:Sensei (self-loathing biases may apply)Noriko Tier:Noriko
>>584848976The ones I feel worth pointing out most are:>IoIn a different game with a monogamous route where you do indeed run away with her and choose to isolate yourselves from the world you hate, I feel it'd be a cute story and an easy pick, but what really makes her character work is that LiL is explicitly not that kind of story. She mirrors sensei's stagnation well, and due the nature of this game, she's forced to change, and (you'd hope) sensei changes with her. Her secondary traits are really a plus, for the most part.>KirinSo far, she's responsible for one the most personally unsettling scenes yet when her distance from her peers turned into full blown horn-dog sociopathy, getting off on the idea that one her classmates was probably straight up raped.I think she's a terrible person, but the way she again mirrors Sensei turns her into a far more interesting character that a "slut that's trying not to look like a slut".>NikiA fun and unexpectedly sweet addition to the roster. While I'm sure not everything was sunshine and rainbows between her and Sensei's initial relationship, the person she is now, that being a total cunt with a reluctant soft spot, plays off Sensei surprisingly well.>NorikoIn case the equal distribution of other "similar" characters didn't tip you off, I don't inherently hate clingy, psychotic, horny, or attention-seeking behaviors. But in everything other case, it's clingy and yandere BUT, it's horny and attention-seeking BUT, however the only "but" Noriko has is "but nothing". You'd probably have to know me personally to know why I hate every trait that comprises her, but that's what she is. There's nothing extra to her, nothing to come back for, and even Sensei would rather her memories and "love" for him just be erased. Also her fashion taste is ass. People who pick up punk as a fashion style need to be put out of everyone's misery.
>>584850661I was pretty ambivalent toward Noriko for a long time but she was one of my favorite heroines by the time I caught up.

>>584854254Wait, I just realized this is missable. Is that one Rin scene at the end of the (first or second) beach also missable if you are a bad homie?
>>584854983Lots of Tsukasa content in Chapter 4 is missable. I know you miss the first Rin kiss if you're a bad homie, if that's what you're referring to.
>>584855113No, the one where she cries on Sensei's lap and, like in that Tsukasa scene, the narrator does a title drop.

>>584855921>>584856019Ah.I see.Glad it wasn't Io, but now I'm slightly more concerned for her safety than if it was an actual stalker. Also yeah wow thanks for recommending that.
Having come to terms with the fact that Chapter 3's cryptic text won't be as easy, I ran with the idea that the shifts might be flying in different directions on a letter-by-letter basis, and now I'm learning about vigenere ciphers and how to break them.Apparently it involves shifting each based on a keyword to determine an alternating pattern rather than two set alternating numbers like I thinking. So if I take that back to Yasu's freakout, I could guess the keyword would be either "happy", "walls", "yasu", "hope", or "light"And on this questionable message of itty bitty Uta's itty bitties, it's probably best to go with "uta" as a first guess, "utachan" as a second, and "ayyfbiplsdontscanmyphonelmao" as a third. And failing that, head back through the conversation and see what else I can think up.
>>584855648I am detecting a pattern here. Sara would be devastated.

>>584853472Well cumming to death and the game closing itself was unexpected
>>584859070I'm not opposed to wikis or anything like that. They're handy tools when they're needed, but if they're not, I very much prefer just not using them.Still, in the case of stuff like this, even if it's possible for someone like me who knows jack shit about cryptology to see patterns, look into ciphers, and see how to apply them, that's definitely on the heavier side of an ask for the average person who wants to get on with the story. Also it turns out the keyword is probably going to carry through the chapter which makes my life easier, though I'm gonna have to work on my quick-math to speed this process up a bit.>A gift from me to youA god watching your conversations, hearing the near-traumatic talk of a stupid child taking nudes of herself, and then gracing your phone with "dw bro, I gotchu" is funny as fuck to me.>>584859397What's it actually do?

Already pointed out the incongruity of Sensei's physical appearance with his level of activity, but I suppose it's worth pointing out that it doesn't even give him the correlating physical ability either.
>>584867074Outside of sexual stamina, I guess, since he definitely has that.
Only thing that comes to mind here would be hanging out with Niki when he was young.
>>584864796rereading chapter 1 is really such a bizarre experience
>>584872747That's one way to put it. When I first read the game I had around 50 screenshots at the point I'm at currently. This time around I'm getting close to 400, if that says anything.
>>584877598I had about 84, though this is slightly corrupted since I was blogposting about the game in a JOPcord.
Things that did not make sense but now make sense.
How do I enable subscriber shit in-game
>>584880716Subscribers don't really have anything special, there's a QOL patch for DLC, they have save-deleting DRM so be careful, but assuming you have them clean you just drag the files into your game folder and the PC in Sensei's room will access most of them. Stuff like profile images/etc are obviously just there.
>>584880716There are eight Care Packages and two Fanfests (2025 and 2026). You just download them from wherever (you can buy them if you want) and drag the "game" folder into your LiL folder. There's also other stuff in them like image sets, character sheets, etc. that you have to look at manually (as in they're not added into the game). After that they're all accessible from the computer. Like the other anon said, the ones labeled Care Packages have DRM in them that will delete your saves if you go about it the wrong way, but there's a way to patch it out in the F95 thread. Also be aware these do have spoilers in them. The Care Packages are all safe to read by the time you finish Chapter 3, I think. The two Fanfest ones have spoilers for Chapter 4 so you should catch up before reading those.
I like the CG composition here, with the Niki billboard in between them and "looking" at Sensei.
>>584881459>>584880991If I pick the "clean" versions off f95 are they relatively futureproof? I could just grab the legitimate versions, but I'd rather not tie a noose around my saves dependent on everything "seeming" right.
>>584883951There aren't any clean versions per se. The DRM is in the game itself in the gui.rpy file and hidden text inside one of the dorm hallway images. There should be a "disable DRM" patch somewhere on the F95 page. Even if you acquire them legitimately you run the risk of the DRM fucking up somehow and screwing you over, so you need to patch it out either way. Also it will get restored any time you update the game since the update will replace the gui.rpy file. The safest way to deal with it would be to back up everything, read the Care Packages, and then revert back to the original that you backed up. I'll note again that this only applies to the ones labeled Care Packages and that the Fanfest ones don't have DRM.
>>584883951Another way to deal with it would be to firewall the game so that it can't connect to the internet at all, since the DRM works by running a script from the game website IIRC.
The thing on F95 isn't actually a patch, it's just the files. I made my own DRM patch that you can just drag into the game if anyone wants it and you trust some random 4chan user. I confirmed with a text comparison program that the modified gui.rpy from F95 only removes the DRM code and I made my own fixed image for the hallway image with hidden text. You can open it in Notepad or something to confirm it's clean.
This retard has zero idea how to impress and it's only getting more endearing.>>584885438The firewall sounds like a simpler solution.I'll still snag it, if you're offering. No reason not to trust random anons enjoying zero consequential accountabilitiy.
You got that right.
>>584888701Here you gohttps://www.mediafire.com/file/dk0k2uopy15s1zq/Also that was me if it makes me seem more reliable or something.
>>584889216What if it makes it seem less reliable? You know how namefags are, can't trust 'em to watch my chocolate milk.
>>584889829True. I'm not trying to be a permanent tripfag so I'm restricting it mostly to my blogposting, but I figured it might be relevant there.
>>584888701Since you're in Chapter 3 now, I'll mention this. Sometime in the future there's going to be a point where the game tells you to SAVE YOUR GAME. When that happens, make a separate save file at that location and keep it for the rest of the game.
>>584892157>>584889918Is the change to the hall the angle of the door frames?
>>584892626Do you mean in the DRM thing? There's nothing different about the image on a visual level, but the one in the game has hidden DRM code in it. If you open the original image in Notepad you can see it.
>>584892757That's cheeky
>>584892820Removing the code is really easy. You can just open the image in Paint or something and then re-save it as a new file. That strips the code out.
Why does this game look like koikatsu
>>584893307Actually let me clarify. You might have to copy the image and paste it into a new instance of Paint and then save the copy. I did it a little while back so I misremembered.
>>584893394Because the visuals in the game are made with Koikatsu.
>>584893394To lure you in.Take the bait, it's tasty.>>584893307>>584893469I'll keep that in mind, but I'm more likely just going to segregate this version and any future versions.
BROSTOPWE GET FOUR CHARACTER EVENTS PER STORY CHUNKSTOP MAKING HALF OF THEM WEEKEND ONLIES AT THE SAME TIMIE
More dust particles.
I'm taking this as confirmation that this Sensei is the only one she's experienced that pursued her as relentlessly.
>>584900394I figured her warnings just more or less worked on the others that saw her as a piece of ass that wouldn't cooperate and left her alone.I like to believe Sensei in particular is more subconsciously drawn to her rather than just seeing her as another box to check.
>>584900740Yeah, I agree. Her reaction at getting the scarf near the end of Chapter 1 is a good example.
Yes
Would Tsubame using her connections to hook Chika up with a better-paying job really be that much of an ask?
>>584903516She does help Chika in a substantial way later.
*cough*Whaaaat?Noooo...
Uh, I think Sensei broke again.
On the topic of this expression, I was left with a similar look taking HOPE's words regarding THAT image into consideration when it hit me.HOPE wasn't talking about Uta running from the past in regards to that image, was he?
