For anyone that has not done Siege abyss, this is how it looks like. The dots visualize the players and the area around them visualize their range.The moment someone steps into the range of the enemy blob, they are dead. Because everyone just spams tab to target the closest player and hold their macro, meaning the moment someone steps into ranged they will instantly be targeted and attacked.Which means with more range, you will naturally be able to attacks players farther away.Now imagine if you DON'T have a fire temple weapon, your range will be lower than most people and you won't be able to attack anyone without going deep into the range of the enemy blob, meaning you will be targeted by the entire enemy blob before you even get into the range of attacking someone.This also means you won't be able to attack nearly any player as you can't go into range, which means you won't get any kills or abyssal points. If you don't have a fire weapon, you are just griefing yourself in the one content in the game where gears actually matters and miss out on so many abyssal points from kills.
