i think the harsh reaction violet is getting is partly because luna snow was getting trashed on as a specific example for ultra glazing/nothingburger character writing and violet (for the most part even though its leagues better than anything rivals can offer) is now the luna snow equivalent for deadlockat the very least, the other characters in this batch being miles better than violet gives me hope that the next batch of heroes aren't gonna be as bland as her although boho could be the next violet if things go wrong

The real lesson here is release one really shit hero per batch so everyone focuses on them. Get that blue haired bulldyke/asian ex-whore turned easy slut amped up and let her delusions run wild while you're unsure of your hero design and if you miss the mark or your hero is unbalanced then you have time to review your work and reception whilst everyone is dogpiling xir work. But you have to make sure your hero comes first otherwise everyone will be too busy trashing it to care
