I think the biggest problem with Violet's characterization is unironically the lack of friction from others towards her. People ragged on Solomon for being a goodie two-shoes who seems to be on "decent" terms with most of everyone he interacts with but even with a personality that's about as close to lawful-good in this game he still ends up running afoul of Danny and Billy due to his standoffish nature towards those he looks down upon and being one of the few (only? I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head right now) characters to directly challenge Seven's ideals and threaten countermeasures if his wish is too destructive is also incredibly novel and gives him a presence that's unique amongst the roster (or, more simply, "aura").Violet dishes it out a lot but honestly she doesn't take all that much aside from a single line from the only guy who consistently shits on everyone else (Seven). She has negative interactions, but they rag on her for shit that's universal Rat King not liking humans) or for secondary shit like not talking to her parents. Her wish is objectively fucking petty when she at present has it better than most native resident of NY, let ALONE first/second gen immigrants, and other characters should be calling that out rather than fucking sucking her clit over her artistic prowess. Her desire for notoriety being the main reason she's here hardly even comes off in her convos or voice lines. Disregarding the all of the "21st century liberal arthoe"isms of her personality and even the lack of explanation for her magic ability (I think people emphasize this too much for her specifically when it honestly goes for a lot of the cast without "lol Maelstrom" to handwave it) I think the biggest offense is that no one even really bounces off of it in a way that's particularly interesting when that's literally the ONLY reason people didn't drag Paige to the depths of hell and back when she launched.
