Man, playing the trickal tutorial really pushes the things that have been bothering me about nikke. The characters seem so expressive, their heads, torso, arms and legs move, and the assume different positions, you can interact with the characters while they talk. I know this is a nikg thread, but I always hated how lazy the sprites are in the nikke story, characters basically only have 1 body position they assume. Characters like trony are forced to be bedridden even in serious scenes where you the game tells you she's walking. Quency is also bent backwards. Characters barely have any alternate costumes to change into, and most/all of them are just paid skins or actually pullable alts. Egregious examples were the maids in the last event. A lot of the sprites have their firearm forced on them so you see them walk into civilian focused areas like Gold Rush carrying their long guns like blanc and noir. I swear in terms of story/game mechanics, nikke hasn't changed at all in 4 years. The only character that comes to mind that actually has second pose is Laplace, and I felt like that was needed cause the finger thing was ridiculous. Is it really that expensive for nikke to have more live 2d sprites? We can't have story exclusive skins where syuen just wears new clothes every few time we see her? Does every skin have to be monetized? In game, variety like the stream announcement skins would be amazing, like the Laplace or Counter's skins.

I think it's pretty simple. A heretic's core surpasses their brain in importance because they can full regen from just the core, new brain included. They obviously DO need that new brain to actually be able to think. So in a case like Jussy's body the Queen likely ensured that her body had no way of regrowing a brain since her talk of peace is what the Queen was mad about.
