With the anniversary in just a few days, rate the season and offseason.


Season: 4/10, I didn't really like the mechanics and it felt like there was barely any content for the patches. I didn't like the season mechanic because it was such a drag to click through the desire screens and your teams needed to be coordinated around it. Also after the season, all the season 4 decks are pretty much trash because you have a filler card unless you run a full season 4 team.
Offseason: 1/10, legit worst patch we've ever had. Content drought and 4 star with a rerun as the banner.

At least the season 5 mechanic is a lot better and surely they have something good to show on Tuesday. It can't be worse than this season

The card mechanic was interesting but a lot of the cards themselves were ass. The desire events were really cool, however.

The story started strong and progressively got worse each chapter with olga's ,part just being her and captain sitting in her room for most of the chapters.

Combatants are cool. Visually I like hilde a lot, arabella grew on me because her CBT animation is funny, but Olga is kind of meh, personally
Story wise I liked hilde's moments in the story, and Arabella's outfit and personality being explained as she was almost suicidally empty inside was interesting, and was part of why I came around to her design, and Olgas was mostly a miss but her having regret and remorse that her actions got her only friend killed was good development for an otherwise boring character.
As for how they play, hilde's is the most unique, arabella feels about average and olga i only used a few times and cant say.

I liked Pio's evolving story with every new banner.
Overall the bug planet was fun.
I deducted 2 points because the desire cards should cost 0 AP as it was against the last rift boss.

It introduced FSO where you had to have properly build decks for max rewards.
I gave myself a goal to clear it with season 5 decks so I had loads of fun making decks and clearing it.
Rerunning a banner instead of releasing a brick like other preseasons was also a nice change of pace.
-3 points for not giving one copy of Anika for free.
