Other than that, give yourself some time and just fuck around with config until it sticks a bit better. I can't remember the exact changes I was making, but I remember some toggles I was toggling around related to continuous calibration and sliders for more annoying face part bits, at first my babble was extremely erratic, situation was improving the more I was using it and trying stuff out. It's not an out of the box product for sure.

I've managed to write the installation script for gimmick camera through the weekend, so now it can be installed in one click without any adjustments. I'll polish it up, add more default presets for booth bases, write some instructions so it can also be put on booth, and hopefully post it soon. Also added a toggle for manual focus selection and viewfinder mode, since I assume few people would care about that.

Why isnt the random part working? It just gets stuck in idle B when it should 100% be going to the animation.
This is what i get for trying to follow claude's instructions.

Maybe the other transition that comes out of B idle is running it back to A idle instantly, and then A idle instantly goes back to B idle, and so forth. I never used random in animator, so not quite sure how this part works, guess it's not entirely impossible that value is never set and you're always sitting at 0.

On that note, in case you don't know, you can debug animator by selecting the one that's generated for your avatar when you start play mode, and then pressing back on your avatar's root. It will show you values and states in real time as it runs, so this will let you confirm whether this random value is even being set.

They're perfectly fine for sitting, standing, and posing. Good ones fine for ~5 minute bursts of random and strenuous movement, ala dancing, without needing to instantly be calibrated when you're done. They will shit the bed eventually if you're doing a 30 minute dance session at a rave or something, but regular lighthouse trackers will also have had issues with occlusion or something during that time period as well.

People acting as though Slimes are the same things that they were 5 years ago are dumb for suggesting you to dump over a grand into a dead end technology for 2 lighthouses and 4 trackers for 6 point tracking + continuous calibration, especially when lighthouses are dead and you're a singular faulty piece of electronics from needing to start playing eBay roulette. You can get a set of quality Slimes from a random ass furry on the official Slime's Discord server marketplace, and as long as you make sure they're using a good IMU and are well reviewed, you'll have a perfectly fine FBT option in your hands in like a week or so.

Slimes are notoriously bad and you should only really use them if you are doing a DIY solution yourself, because otherwise you are overpaying for a horrible setup. Avoid slimes unless you truly have no money and are desperate for cheap FBT ASAP and cannot wait.
Vive 3.0s are the way to go if you can be bothered to get base stations. Even 2.0s are still nice if you can get a good pair for cheap but do be prepared to learn how to open them and replace the battery in the event someone sold you an absolutely raped pair which is common for 2.0s.
Fluxpose will be the new best solution when they come out, but those are NEVER EVER status because hardware supply limitations being bought out by the war in Ukraine.

- There have 2000+ bots
- They collected 2 million+ avatars
- They had a deal with VRChat to not get their main account banned in exchange of exploits, but VRChat banned them after some time.

I think the SOS discord and the SOS VRChat group are separate issues. The discord is tiny, and isn't really relevant. The VRChat group is how event broadcasts go out, and how SEA hours instances are hosted. It should be available to anyone who wants to participate. If people are, for instance, joining explo and getting left behind because they don't get a reconvene notice, that's shit.

People are getting poorer and VR was always a cutting edge tech. The quest series was meta burning hundreds of billions of dollars to pump out cutting edge technology for cheap. Everyone thought it'd be unhealthy for VR. It was.
When it comes to tracking; lighthouses are just expensive. Cameras got good enough and are hundreds of dollars cheaper per device. All you really need with camera tracking nowadays is some external cameras to help track stuff out of headset vision and you're good. The frame would let you do this mainly because it wouldn't let you NOT do this.

Seems like people are getting some vastly different experiences with the Frame mic. Some (myself included) find it perfectly usable, with or without the mod that lets you turn off some of the cancellation options. I'm using it on the mainline (not beta) SteamVR, with no mods, and I'm perfectly audible without much distortion to others. It's not Index, but it's not terrible. Others are completely inaudible on the Frame mic. I do know that if you use the mod and turn off all the cancellation features, it'll pick up the headset audio though.

Payday 2 VR implementation is one of the better official ones and there's a few mods to make it better. Definitely worth a try, and the VR mode can still play with all the thousands of flat players so you'll never run into the issue of dead lobbies. It's funny seeing their reactions to your IK hands.

It sucks being part of a group in name only. You can spend years hanging out with people on VRChat, but once everyone logs off and goes back to their Discord calls, Minecraft servers, or other group activities, you're reminded that you're not really part of their lives outside of that one space.
After 6+ of regularly showing up, it still stings to hear about everyone doing things together that you'll never be included in. You end up sitting alone, knowing that the people you consider friends have an entire social circle that exists just beyond your reach.
Eventually, even showing up starts to feel pointless. SEA is practically the only social outlet I have, but being constantly reminded of everything I'm excluded from has made it more depressing than enjoyable. And knowing that nothing is likely to change anytime soon makes it hard to justify continuing to put myself through it.
