I think I figured out what's bugging me about Asmo vs. Elyos: the Asmo story is just boring gobbeldygook thrown at you where they "and then" you over and over again. It's like listening to a little kid try to tell a story they made up but they don't know how to transition events so they just keep introducing new factions or characters. The Elyos story isn't much better but there is marked exploration for each of the side characters in region quests and there's always a clear goal that everyone agrees to even if they have reservations on the methods. Hithanya's abandonment of the group because she could not abide Phernos's methods anymore felt like a very real and normal reaction, but Hadala only leaving Nemon after Ulgorn's death despite raising objections on multiple occasions felt... I don't know, kind of weird. She seemed like the kind of person who would leave way before that and take Ulgorn with her.

The gearing system is completely unhinged and was designed by complete retards.Someone having a 10k power advantage in the game already has such a big advantage over you in PvP that you actually have to try hard to actually beat him.
