Most people don't mention it because it's implied, since it is such a huge difference and level 1 is worse than delay attack from a thief. But with that and elemental advantage and a knight it should be easy. Ideally switch out gillion for livana and shiou for eulalia. And/or get some water gear. Even one or two pieces already act as a permanent KD. The only thing wrong with your MC is the apsd. 55 is pretty rough. Aiming for 90-100 would be ideal. If it still doesn't work just do something else for a while. The Oni fight is uniquely punishing with him force wheeling you and all. It's just a dick move and everyone was malding over it when it came out.

Like the noir sword will take 50% of atk and 30% of defense and that becomes your new attack stat, which is then passed to gerard's ability which uses your new attack stat + defense. That's how I think ranger abilities work too, which is why they all have a final damage nerf built in.
