It means Battlefield 6 is likely to stick around past year 2. I've been calling this for ages too. Normally, EA would push to the next game to keep shareholders happy, but BF6 cost north of $400 million, and now they're fully owned by the Saudis and have an $20 BILLION debt to pay off with the buyout. Their new bosses won't let them blow even half of BF6's budget on trying to convince the Battlefield community to jump onto the next installment when the current game can easily be built up and milked for a few more years. Meanwhile, a Battlefront game would be paid for by Disney and basically be free money while still allowing DICE and Respawn to develop Frostbyte for the Battlefield Studios live service team to maintain BF6.

Personally, I think this is a good thing. I means that BF6 and its studios will survive the leveraged buyout debt and BF6 will get a longer lifespan.

BF1 is maybe the most overrated FPS ever. Yes muh atmosphere but the gameplay itself was way too simple. So many of the guns were OP and instakilled. The behemoths were always a meme and felt like Shanghai-tier levolution after you played them enough times. I've already put more hours in BF6 then I did across both BF1 and 2042. Still have more in BF4 as that is still the peak of the franchise

they definitely hotfixed the xp you get from the event, i was getting 1800-3k (if i used a hardware boost) and now i got 300 xp total for 55 shotgun kills.
