Seeing everyone saying DA made the game good I finally jumped to DD2 after avoiding it so long... and yeah, after finishing base game true ending I see why it flopped. Sorry I had to rant.Main quest is offensively boring compared to DD1, you went to sunken ruins behind waterfall, undead catacombs and raided goblin fortress for the first half of DD1 not to mention the exciting opening hours of fighting Chimera and Hydra. Meanwhile you become errand boy for nigger captain running around inside the town 80% of the time for the 1st half of DD2.Then there's the dogshit abrupt end, I thought Moonglint Tower gonna be a dungeon, but no, it's just one lift and couple of shitty fights. The dragon just invite you to ride his back for the final battle, no trekking through the dungeon that past Arisen had to conquer to reach the dragon, no first phase where you chase the dragon through the area.I thought Unmoored World would be better than Everfall since it open up bunch of new areas in the map, but no, it's just go to red dot, fight the boss, evacuate nearby town, repeat, and finish the game, and the final sequence is another dragon riding crap instead of... I don't know, some surreal god realm like DD1, but do it inside the brine this time like when you met Pathfinder before UW.Good thing I played DDON before so the single weapon vocation doesn't bother me that much, armor change sucks tho.Thank god the DLC added Lost Rite dungeons, probably the only fun I had going through the base game.Now time to play the DLC and see why everyone has forgiven this game.

>>585075707Out of all the classes I've tried it's the easiest by a significant margin. I've yet to try a little Warrior cheese though after unlocking everything. Enhanced Satanachia is just really annoying as melee character. As the previous posted said he can change aggro targets in his teleport chains, he is INVINCIBLE during his teleports so something like an explosion from Thief or Blast Arrow from Archer go off during his teleport he takes no damage. During his charge up of the magic maelstrom he is completely immune to damage. His teleport chains leave little room for punishment unless you have hyper armor, and his kinetic blasts have very large range and will ragdoll you out of anything. MA just has a really easy time exploiting his moveset since the upgraded Hailstorm Bolt does good damage, charges fast enough to punish his recovery, and does high stagger. Plus the new Meister skill has a couple of guaranteed charge situations and it does great damage against him, especially if you have the Demonbane Ring.

Hmm I wish Battle Frenzy wasn't a thing. Especially 4^. It's just too strong but also any Battle Frenzy makes a huge difference in doing rancors. I've been doing them without it but without it, you really are too weak to keep up with the growing numbers. Pawns feel really useless in these too besides Mages since they can heal and buff you. They feel too weak to do anything in these rancors without Battle Frenzy but with it, they also die too quickly unless you have a specific setup.

Not sure how I feel about Enhanced Satan having exclusive weapon rolls. I guess the content has a good balance? I'm not so sure. Enhanced Satan gives the only T5 weapons worth grinding, regular T5 weapons are basically worthless because they lack Battle Frenzy, T4 weapons with Holy are better than base T5 weapons, but all T5 content gets you T5 armor.

I just found out that in order to get the Dragonforged stamina reduction buff on a skill, you have to complete the game once and start a new game plus with that save file. Then I look up at how long it would take to speed run DD2 story quests without doing any side missions on howlongtobeat.com, it takes over 30 hours just to beat the base game main story.

On ng+ you can skip straight to brant quests and out of them you only need to do monster culling + 2 other of your choice before the coronation is open to you. Did anybody else know that if you hold down the "go" command you will tell your pawns to "explore"? And also hold down "to me" to force a high five? Almost 200 hundred hours in I had no idea you could do this.

I was fully level 5 when I took on summit vortex and it was fun but still pretty easy.Like it wasn't difficult at all once I got relics, I don't know what you guys are running but fighter still rocks and thief still has nigh-invulnerability and absurd damage. Like the only hiccups I had was a bit where I played mystic archer and realized the ghouls and some bosses had hard aggro overrides targeting the Arisen.

I went in to the DLC with checkpoint rest town gear at lvl 40 on hard mode and did literally no damage, got a bunch of lvl 1 spoils exploring + gifted from anons and that changed effectively nothing. It wasn't until lvl 2 + a lot of levels gained that I started doing any damage at all, and lvl 3/ancient 3 is when I found myself on equal footing with the enemies. You absolutely were not steamrolling shit with lvl 1 or 2 the stats just don't add up and this is a very stat heavy game despite appearances
