I don't play genshin so I can't comment on that. I agree that NTE's combat is horrible. That being said his complaints about wuwa are true but he doesn't mention any of the downsides to endfield either. Even in optimal rotations there are often long periods where you can do nothing but hold M1 and wait for your cooldowns. The shilling isn't bad at all but it's still in the first year, every gacha was fine in that regard in its first year.

>>585196648I really don't agree on putting endfield on top, the issue for me is that not having the right teams isn't just an issue of damage but also feeling bad to play, it completely breaks the natural rhythm, that leaves you long periods of doing literal nothing. As a roll for who you like it isn't good even in the overworld when you for example skip key characters like arcane because you don't particularly like them and you want to guarantee a future banner, and it's worse when the character you like also doesn't feel that good in the first place in the on-field position (like last rite or the character I started the game for Yvonne).And I'm not that into modifiers like ridiculously high skill cooldown and stuff, reminds me of some of the worst experience in genshin in some of their domains, but I can't say wuwa "just take more damage, do less damage and you can't dodge wrong" is the correct way of adding challenge either.Regardless, it just means the game was not for me in the 1.x version and I still want to test it again later after things evolve more.

>>585198342That's reasonable. I pulled Rossi without Gilberta or Mi Fu and it's horrible, it's like trying to play Zani without Phoebe. Thankfully none of the content is hard enough to justify optimal teams but it still feels bad to play my favorite character when she does no fucking damage. But when you have an optimal, well put-together team (my Typhoeus and Laev teams are very strong for instance) it feels really fucking good. Even in those teams there's downtime where you're doing nothing but at least the periods are short, and the bursts of value are fun.I still find wuwa combat more fun, but it's a two cakes situation for me.
>>585196325Not wrong on eosfield and wuwa. Dunno what's going on in genshit, don't care. Eosfield is garbage but they almost salvaged combat, and team building is extremely flexible. Wuwa is on the steady way to hi3/pgr cutsceneslop, and team comp forcing is pretty much as bad as hsr.
