Its a deck where you really feel the need for a side engine since there's really nothing you can do against fuwa or Maxx c. You have to go all out and you might win or you might feed your opponent a lot of cards they'll beat you with. The deck is a good investment though since you're buying into like 4 other decks and the shell itself will get Ars Magna which gives the pendulum verson a real end board.

What artmage gives you is a good end goal for a board that is consistent. The pure PP stuff gives you a decent albeit inconsistent board. The reason it sees play is the fact that it can do consistent and even insulated FTKs while having something decent to fall back on. Going second, its pretty beastly as well. Artmage doesn't ftk but it does give you something recursive, you'll burn through cards turn after turn with pure, so if you fail to kill on the your first turn going second or turn 3 going first, you're fucked.

I got to dlv 19 with fairy tail magistus pretty easily but then I got hit by a massive loss streak. I am not playing that well but I feel like I am losing the handtrap wars. I have a ton of hands with 0 or only 1 plays that lose to handtraps, or I go second and don't draw enough breakers/handtraps/extenders. The deck is definitely strong enough so it's a skill issue on my part but I'm not sure where to improve when it feels like I'm losing on the first play. I took Artmage Power Patron to the ladder and the deck is actually pretty disgusting. It feels like the deck people think Branded is (although that deck is pretty strong). Like infinite lines that bridge back and forth into each other. If your board is properly set up you can get 6 negates PLUS random spell trap bouncing, evasive destruction and a goddamn board wipe. They just randomly insulate their combo lines too apparently with the Artmage Pendulum and Non Finito who also acts as a starter. Do not underestimate this deck. Medius and his friends will gape you. Its also just a good investment because this shit is going to get stronger
