Sometimes people would skip mobs in instances like FT but it wasn't the default way to play, meanwhile this game has a tutorial in draupnir that trains you to skip mobs entirely because killing dungeon mobs in this game is pointless by design. Aion 1 also had open world areas on par with dungeons that would fuck people up if they tried to enter solo. By level 18-20 Aion 1 trained people to group up in the open world for those difficult areas to get their campaign quests done and that happened multiple times on the way to the level cap. There's basically no reason to group up in open world in this game, the difference in designs is just stark. Also you lost xp when you died in Aion 1 so all this bullshit with people chain dying/ressing to brute force content wouldn't happen because they'd wipe out hours of progress if they weren't at the level cap.
