The elves wonder how he is able to the bend the capital so easily into supplying this remote region. Meanwhile, in the capital, a bishop slams his fist on the table, furious at the existence of the adventurer, pleading with god for an answer for why such a barbarian is given such holy blessings in a crude manor, while his decades of devotion hasn't given him the same affinity. He knows he can't make this public, the crown saw him as a necessary evil, and only a few know that he defeated the demon lord by turning him into a girl and raping her, this is why he was sent to this remote region. The bishop vows to correct this sin, looking at a vial in his hands.

The adventurer writes a letter to the guild to send surveyors out to it, though the elves note that they wouldn't arrive until the spring probably. With winter coming again, the adventurer holes up in the manor's archives, going through old records, combing for further evils to rape that require him to go deeper into the forest and mountains. One day, while one of the elves is cleaning the archives, they notice a book open, an alchemic text of the past, open to a page detailing a liquid with the ability to sever connection with god, with an illustration of a familiar vial.

The bishop thanks them, infusing the speck with silver and barbing a needle. The next morning at mass, the cardinal is preparing to begin his blessings when the bishop accidently bumps into him. Halfway through his blessing, he begins to falter and collapses. The bishop seizes the opportunity and takes over, but is frustrated when his blessings aren't as potent, with further resentment when he isn't given the cardinal' position. Back at the village, the villagers are excited about the prospect of the mine reopening, but the guild returns along with the church, under the mandate that the mine is to be under their control to ensure the empire is not being supplied with unholy materials, given the history of the region. Unfortunately, the adventurer is not around, as he's deep in the forest currently having a threesome with the wolf spirit and an ancient spirit.
